these last three weeks, ive been exhausted all the time, and i can't figure out why. i'm not tired, its just pure exhaustion all the time. i've gone to bed everynight this week at 9:00, but i still can't feel rested. i've been falling asleep in class like crazy, and i can barely get my hw done after football without falling asleep while doing it. i'm not sure if i've been too stressed or if football is kicking my butt (i don't think so... i'm in really good shape) or if it's something else. anyone ever have this problem?

I had a similar problem midway through my box season in the summer- because it turned out I was having relly bad anxiety attacks due to lacrosse. I ended up doing exercises that really calmed me down, and I was able to sleep/ felt better after a while.

maybe epstein barr, it is this virus you get from making out and crap, something like 85% of americans have it or sometin, almost everyone has it , and everyone once and a while it pops up and makes you very tired and exhausted all the time, ive never had it i dont think, but this motocross racer had it and he had some bad races.

Hm, I've been really tired lately because of school, coaching lacrosse, volunteering at my church, and a bunch of other stuff, but I'm tired beause I'm busy and not sleeping. Maybe you have that disease that isuckatlax mentioned. Try going to bed earlier and if your stressed set aside a certain amount of time in the day to relax etc.

its probably stress. Think about it you have football practice and games, on top of that u have homework to worry about and then dont forget those dreaded tests and projects u have to do. It might be because of that. I dunno.

How is your diet? You may not be getting the neccessary calories to keep going. It happened to me a while ago and after I started consuming more calories in multiple, little meals through the day, I noticed my energy returned.

That could be it, because playing football burns a TON of calories. So make sure you eat a lot, but real food, not only junk

Yoga helps. I'd hate to sound trendy, but you would not believe what it does for the mind, body, spirit, and soul. Even 10 to 15 minutes of stretches a day can do wonders. I don't want to sound like a commercial or anything, but it is definitely worth a try.

If I were you I'd go see a doctor man, it could be something as simple as not eating enough calories throughout the day (which would probably be my first thought), but that can also be some type of virus or diabetes thats draining your energy. Especially if its been 3 weeks, go make an appointment, its not gonna kill ya to jsut get checked out!!

Try taking some vitamins and if you aren't eating healthy try and adjust your diet.

try eating protein/energy bars as snacks instead of junk food.

last year, during xc, i was exhausted all the time. My schedule consisted of school, practice, then straight to dinner, straight to hw, straight to sleep. I also had research papers and everything. I usually ended up falling asleep at 9;30. I had to be at the school at 6 on sat mornings because we had weekend races. those took up pretty much my whole day.
I was in really good shape, just like you are. I just never really noticed what it was doing to my body. I ended up getting hurt 3 weeks before the end of the season, which let me take time off. I got back to my normal weight, and became fine.
Maybe you should take a break, or just wait until the end of your season. In the meantime, try cleaning up your diet, and if possible, go to bed even earlier.

limes disease??? I had it a year ago I would fall asleep in class even if I had gotten 9 hours of sleep and the most energetic breakfast. I would just take a break on teh weekend and just rest up eat right and get tons of sleep, stretching is awesome I like to stretch when i get out of the shower for a solid 10-15 minutes every morning it makes you feel relaxed, also dont party on the weekends until you feel you are rested up.If that stuff doesnt work I suggest seeing your doctor.
PS the chariot is right you KNOW when you get mono.

definitely to a doctor, definitely.
theres a 99.99% chance its absolutely nothing, just a spell that most people go through at some point in their life, but 99.99% isn't half as good as 100%

drinking water and staying hydrated really helps give you energy.
you might have mono too.
or lyme disease? Been outside playing in the fall leaves and such? that's a breeding ground for ticks and lyme disease makes you exhausted.

for those of you that say that you "KNOW" when you have mono, I disagree. A girl on my team last year played with mono for a few weeks, and finally went to the doctor and got it checked out. You don't know if you have it until you get a blood test (I think, or something like that?) I also know plenty of people who find out that they HAD mono, like they go for a physical and the doctor knows somehow? Anyway, the point is you can't just "know" a doctor needs to check it out.

Talk to a doctor, maybe you dont sleep well at night and prescription sleeping pills could help you sleep better.
