No, I'm not part of the party, they are taking 34 players and 10 Staff.

It should be a tough 8 days with travelling, jet lag and the little matter of 6 games back to back. Fortunately it's fall ball season so I assume most teams will use it to try out freshman and mix their line ups as it's a free game in effect.

Are the Aussies going on tour, or are any College teams visiting Oz before next summer?

Please keep us posted with results if you can (I'm interested, and it's tough to track this stuff down through conventional media).

I'm still trying to get scores from Team Canada's Saturday efforts . (Two matches, both against Canisius College, NCAA D-1). I couldn't make it to watch these as I had my own recreational league tournament, and I haven't found any press on the results.

Any news on the Final cut for Canada?

No news yet - The purpose of Saturday's scrimmages was to cut the roster from 50 down to 23.

If I find the results, I'll probably find news of the final cut nearby.

UKLF,

Yes it does look like a tough schedule indeed but it can only be a great help to the final team because essentially that is what happens in a world championship isnt it. You play 5-6 high intensity games in a week.

As far as touring teams. Yes at this stage we have Haverford (D3) coming over, weve had a Japanese squad and i think as with most times that an Aus. team goes to the US there will be some touring involved prior to the games. I had also heard that there was a chance of a larger D1 squad coming as well but thats just rumour.

I will be very interested to see the Canadian team so please keep us posted.

Post here if you get a laX festival team entered. I might be there myself, although not in the 50+ division. I've a friend who's trying to assemble a team for an open age division....likely the lowest level division available!

Rutgers 15 - 5 England
Villanova 15 - 2 England
Drexel 13 - 1 England

In the Villanova game boths goals were scored straight from face-off beginning of 1st & 3rd quarters... 8 Goals in 3 games.

Any reports from people that saw the games appreciated.

The lack of goals is a worrying stat. has Dan Kallaugher played yet?
Has Fred Lee played yet?

They will make key differences

Oh and what of Paul Fullerton, not on the roster?

The final roster cut has been posted and discussed elsewhere, so I'm not going to bother with it here.

I did read on another message board that Canada squeaked by Canisius in two scrimmages (approx. scores of 16-5 and 15-2 reported).

Another guy reported that John Grant left the camp early with an injury.

Loss of attack power, but if he gets cut, it makes room for a Zack Greer....This may even be preferable as I am not confident in the coaching staff's ability to keep John Grant playing for the team.

hooray!

I don't know if that kid did a BTB goal in order to try and show off...but if he did that sure bit him in the butt.
