Is there a rule limiting the number of shooters you can have on your stick?

What rule do you think that would violate?

LaxRef,
You would probably know much better than I, but wouldn't it be legal to have whatever amount or design of shooting strings accoding to preference so long as it did not trap the ball in a manner that prevented the ball from being dislodged in game play?

As we often point out, if it passes the field test, we don't flag it. The main ways a stick fails are:
Overall length
Head too narrow (or wide)
Head too short (or long)
Pocket too deep
Ball fails to roll out
Bottom part of pocket not firmly attached
You can have other problems with a stick, some resulting in a directive to get it fixed (end cap missing, hanging strings greater than 6 inches) and you can have USC problems (ball painted in pocket), which do not make the stick illegal but could result in penalties anyway (but a goal doesn't come off the board and the stick is not confiscated).
Anyway, I can't see how tons of shooting strings could affect any of these, except, as you say, by maybe making the ball stick in the pocket. But then it's not that the number of shooting strings is a problem, but that the ball fails that particular test. And I really don't care why a stick fails a test; if it fails, it fails.
This is why I asked what rule someone thought it would violate: because I can't think of any myself. And if we can't find a rule on it, it's probably okay.

Well i read on the forums a while ago from (i think) laxref that you could get a USC if you had enough shooters over where the ball was so the refs couldnt see if the pocket was too deep. I looked at my stick, and i realized that you couldnt see if it was illegal or not(it was legal and it was unintentional)
