I'm still trying to get clarification on this point, under the 30 second experimental rule;

"I'm trying to understand how you would handle it if a shot or defensive deflection causes the ball to leave the attack area, under which circumstances Team A could have a right to the ball without a turnover. In my reading of the exp. rule, it would appear that this would be considered a new possession outside the attack area, and they would have the 30 second count to get it back in, with subs.
This instance hasn't been addressed in any of the memos I've seen to date, but they do refer to the 30 count replacing the current 20 + 10."

Anyone know who these clarification questions should be addressed to?

Don't spend a lot of time on this. No one likes the proposed rule. No one is using it experimentally this fall. No one will see it in 2006 and probably not ever.
