does banging on your desk during class with pencils count as playing the drums? no? lol ok, i've played the piano since i was 6 yrs old but stopped in HS. umm played the flute in 6-8th grade but stopped in HS. jacked my neighbors guitar when i was little to strum a little tune but stopped in HS. notice a trend here?

ill be playin the banjo as soon as i can get the money together... my best friend (who also grew up in the mountains) and i decided that we're gonna learn before we go off to college next year... and, no, we're not hicks... it just looks fun as hell

sure it does if it got a beat and you can dance to it...

wanted to learn acoustic guitar and bongos...never got around to either...

but i do have a digeridoo made by an aboriginol completely tested by me (had to pick wich size fit my breathing)...I can make the cool sounds just dont have circular breathing to keep the sounds goin

thanks for sticking up for me nrvlc, i like this whole hokie tightness we have going on, me and you are gonna be the bestest of friends! you can have sleepovers and stuff with me in my dorm room! you can play your violin, and i'll bang around on the floor with pencils. it'll be so great, i can't wait until college. georgia- i only took it personally, cuz i work with disabled kids.. and when ppl say that word, i just wanna... do bad stuff to that person. lol, i'm a sarcastic person too, sometimes to much though.

I play the Tenor Sax, and yes i'm in a marching band...

Alright the "Freedom Horn", I'll explain. Ya know how people are all like their not French Fries they're freedom fries or same with French toast- Freedom toast, same with the the "Freedom Horn" it's the French Horn (at least i think that was it..)

yea we have marching bands, but our drumline won first place in the region. but its not like the movie drumline, our drumlines mostly white.

Yeah... seriously didn't know marching bands were that, um, popular in the states. I don't think anywhere in Canada actually has one...

Anyway, Jjay, a djembe is a type of drum. You'd know what it is if you saw one. It's a hand drum and usually they're about 2-3 feet tall. The top part looks like a bowl and then the bottom part is a smaller cylinder. Here's a photo...

On the cover of that book, it's the one standing up. There are little white/silver things sticking up at the top. No clue what those are because they aren't actually on djembes...

The Naked Air Guitar and Air Guitar can mean two completley different things.

I used to play the violin in like 4th-5th grade. Then I used to paly the piano in 6th grade. Then I used to paly guitar like 7th-8th grade. Im a quitter.

im the captain of our marching band's snareline and of the overall drumline, as well as the winter percussion head captain.

i played trumpet for about 6 years before switching to drums and i still play the trumpet occasionally

i also play guitar and bass, and kit drums

I play piano, guitar, and bass decently enough...

However, I've spent over half my life drumming. I can play any percussion instrument (drumset, bass, tenors, snare, marimba, vibes, timpani, hand drums, latin percussion, etc.) in any style (classical 4 mallet work, jazz vibes, drumset in any genre, etc). I've marched in world class WGI and DCI drumlines. I've recorded with some notable local artists, and jammed with some notable national artists. I've taken private lessons from some of the best, and taught lessons on my own time. I don't want to sound like I'm bragging, I just want to state my accomplishments and explain why drumming is a big deal to me. Percussion is easily my biggest priority in life.
