World Lax Games Televised??

Hey,
I know that the games are still kind of a ways off, but Im interseted in knowing has anyone heard any rumors,whispers,or definite plans on televising the games for the good ol' viewing public?

aussielax we get ESPN cabled from Asia mate not the US version. just because its on the US Espn is no guarantee that we'll get it.

your best bet would be to get some mates/family in the US or Canada and get them to tape it for you.

or better yet, get a summer job and go watch.

Iv'e got a summer job and if i could go i would, But if i was to go it will take 2 weeks out of my year 12.

However i may still go, we will see what happens.

There is no TV Deal in place and my understanding is that there won't be.

If you want to watch the games the only choice may well be to get to London, Ontario.

ESPN don't come along with $$$s and buy the rights, ILF would have to buy a slot then be responsible for selling the sponsorship/advertising to cover costs.

NLL paid for two games to go on NBC in 2005 big bucks...

If ESPN or CSTV do decide to cover it will probably just be the Final like U19s 2003 & IFWLA World Cup 2005 both of which USLacrosse sorted out as they were local (Towson & Annapolis).

I know that they Showed a few games from last season. The All-Star game, and a few others, but they were on local cable. NBC, and ESPN2, They were local channels though, for me anyways. maybe NBC will televise it, since they're getting into the spirit of Lax.

so very truw thats why we get mostly dodgy shows, and not enough actual sport sport eg. baseball, basketball, ice hockey

For those who weren't aware, the Iroquois Nationals' games as well as the bronze and gold medal games are being shown on the APTN network this week. Most games are 9pm EDT and the medal games are on Sunday at 2pm and 9pm.
