This is one of my first string jobs. I think i did pretty good. Some constructive criticism please.

that topstring looks like it'll create some NASTY lip... Might want to redo it.

thats really good for one of your first. the only thing is i think the mesh at the top is inside the head when its supposed to be on the outside. or that might just be the picture.

Yea the top didnt come out good. I'm gonna restring the top now so i'll post pics in a couple mins after i'm done.

i have seen a lot of larger diamond pockets with really loose sidewalls, i dont really understand it...that type of mesh, you can stretch the bejesus out of it

i strung my first 6D too about a week ago and i have a question. I like deep pockets and i couldnt get the pcoket deep enough with the sidwalls tightened up all the way. So the sidewalls are pretty lose like a finger tip can fit between the mesh and sidwall. Is this bad?

besides the topstring and the shooters (which are preference of course) everything looks good

i would say keep your sidewalls as tight as possible.if you want a deeper pocket skip a diamond...or two if neccesary

I redid the top a diff way this time. It's a lot tighter. Sorry it took longer than i expected, i was distracted.

Aye, pretty good for a first. You should probably tighten the sidewalls, like nylax90 said. If this makes your pocket shallow (too shallow), skip diamonds. There is a tutorial on skipping diamonds, I believe its in the "Giant Mesh Pockets" tutorial.

the top still looks a little off to me.. idk how to explain it i would need pictures but someone will hopefully know what im talking about. it looks nice tho nice colors.

Yea i kno wat u mean. I can't figure out y but it still looks a little wrong. Maybe its the mesh :thinking:. I do better with smaller diamonds.

It looks overall good to me...The top doesn't look too funky, and if it aint broke then dont try to fix it..if ya like the way it throws keep it...I like the blue + yellow as well..haha my old school colors

I think it's because most people tend to do their top lace by makeing two consecutive knots like this: http://server5.theimagehosting.com/image.php?img=topstring.jpg ( from http://lacrosseforums.com/showthread.php?t=14679&highlight=mesh) Inseated of just once like he did. But as long as it is a decently strong lace you should be fine.

yah i agree different topstring even though it doesnt make that much of a difference much better than my first string job

top strings take a beating and it looks like you did yours with sidewall string so you should probably double up for strength (could be wrong about the string tho)

Yea i will but i dont have nemore string. I'll do that once i get some. I'm not using this head neway so i have time. It'll b a while b4 i get some more.

the pocket looks a little shallow to me, but it's all preference. nice job! i like the colors

Talent....You got talent. That looks actually very good for a first time. Shooters are looking good. I really like the colors. Just try to do the top string the second way but just do that twice through the same mesh and hole so it won't break as fast.
