Michigan Division 1 (ability, not necessarily size)
1. Brother Rice (Birmingham, private/Catholic)
2. Cranbrook Kingswood (Bloomfield Hills, private)
3. Detroit Country Day (Birmingham/private)
4. University of Detroit Jesuit (private/Catholic)
5. De La Salle Collegiate (Warren/private/Catholic)
6. East Grand Rapids (public)
7. Birmingham Unified (public)
8. Catholic Central (Redford, moving to Novi in 2005, private)
9. Pioneer (Ann Arbor, public)
10. Athens (Troy, public)
11. Forest Hills (Grand Rapids, public)

wow bro, i don't know about those rnakings right there...based on skill level and ABILITY of the players and the team it'll rank somewhere like this...
1)Brother Rice
2) UofD Jesuit and Birmingham Unified(for all intensive purposes, Seaholm)
3)Cranbrook Kingswood
4)Detroit Country Day (in close with Cranbrook though)
5)East Grand Rapids
6)De La Salle
7)Ann Arbor Pioneer
8)Forest Hills
9)Troy Athens
10)Detroit Catholic Central
Those are probably the top 10-12 teams in the state. And yes, i realize that DCD just beat UofD, but UofD was also missing the two top scorers on the team, an injury mid-game to one of the starting D-Poles...and you also have to take into account that the game happened right after UofD got back from the Jesuit Lacrosse Tournament in Maryland where they played 4 games in 3 days against some of the best teams in the nation, including the #1 team Georgetown Prep, so needless to say the majority of the team was exhausted.

Sorry about the confusion, but I wasn't ranking them, just listing Division 1 in no particular order. State tournament is based on Class (A/B) and not Division (1-5).

For whatever it's worth, I'll give make a general prediction for Division 1.
1. Brother Rice
2. Cranbrook Kingswood, Detroit Country Day, University of Detroit, and Birmingham
3. East Grand Rapids
4. Forest Hills, Ann Arbor Pioneer
5. Troy Athens
6. Catholic Central, De La Salle
By the way "The Keeper", the term is "for all intents and purposes". A common mistake/misunderstanding because it's said quickly and sounds like "intensive purposes".

Just messing with you guys. Yeah, there are some good schools up there. We played DCC, Bro Rice, and a few other's in fall ball tourny a few years ago. Unfortunatly we were never able to play during regular season.

it's pretty exciting for me to know that lax is semi big in MI. i never knew any one outside of my school that played lax in MI. only because of the damn temp changes.
December 31st, i was outside in 50+ degree weather! this coming Thursday is supposed to be 48 degrees!
