looks as if there is still only going to be 3 long poles. and also players will be relaeed at faceoff again this year.

i dont like that the players r released after face-off, ive always liked the fact that one would have to wait until possesion is called

IDK why there changing that back, it dosn't make sense to let all the players go on the face-off. I am very happy however that we know have a 60 second clock. Now we just need to work on a fourth pole add it will be perfect.

exactly, i just hope they pretend that they never brought back the rule allowing all players to go off on the face off. that almost makes it pointless to get a fourth pole or to even have the wings out there. that makes me angry.

Maybe one of the reasons the MLL hasn't added a 4th long pole is that it would decrease scoring.

I think the prospect of decreased scoring is the primary reason they deny the 4th pole. Absurdly high scores, and the lack of a 4th pole are 2 of the main reasons traditional lax fans are turned off, so I'm not sure the MLL gains anything from the 3 pole limit.
There is probably 1 middie on each MLL team that can burn a short stick 9 out of 10 times; this is the guy that the 4th pole would cover.
I think there should be a 4th pole, as the shot clock does enough to encourage more offense. 60 seconds is still too short, imo. Too many 1 on 1 iso's happen in part because of the pressure to get off a shot. It's more entertaining to see settled offense execute creative team plays, I think.

exactly, although at least the 60 secs is better then 45

its sorta boring to see no shot clock, its ok in college cuz they have a 4th poll. the MLL must get rid of letting everybody out on the face off. i have a feeling jake made these rules himself
