I'm pinching my bionic and I'm just wondering what temperature I should bake it at and for how long.
It's strung by the way...

I have mentioned this before in other threads and learnt it here on TLF, but if you don't want to risk baking it, then you could always place it in the back window of a car in the sun. Tie it up pinched and then leave it there for a couple of days... week at most... and then freeze it for a day. There's your pinch. If you are baking it, make sure you get everything straight, and if you are still living with your parents, make sure you have their permission first no matter what.

^right idea...u can put it in the oven on 350 for about 5-10 minutes... here is a thread about the different methods as well http://www.lacrosseforums.com/showthread.php?t=23044&highlight=pinch+temperature
*If you decide to bake, take the mesh out

^in that case boil it, don't bake it...but don't freeze it after u boil it just let it air dry or refridgerate (sp?) it b/c the mesh will get messed up from the extreme temperature changes

u can boil it with mesh, but soft mesh won't work well, i thnk hard mesh does...search around a little bit.there r plenty of threads on pinching :-)
*also don't leave the head in boiling water for a long time...only like 30 seconds at a time so the mesh doesn't shrink or do any funky stuff, just so the head softens up a bit

I just pinched my Vapor with the boiling method, but I took the mesh off. It worked really good, and now it doesn't seem any more flexible. I actually seems stiffer.

The fastest method for me is to prepare the stick like your going to boil it but instead of boiling it you hold it over a gas stove (and be sure to rotate it) until the plastic is starting to become soft, you then put it in the freezer and follow the normal procedures(sp?) as if you boiled the head. Remember not to get the head to close or else you will burn the plastic leaving nasty black burn marks all over it. I'd say keep it a good 18 inches from the flame and constantly check the side of the head exposed to heat.
heres a pic of it from e-lacrosse

*also be sure to take the mesh off.

set the dimensions, fill tub or big bucket with boiling water. Let stick sit for about 20-30 minutes. then immediately take off strings and run through cold water.
Thats what i do everytime
