I would have called it Trogdor the Burninator, but that is already taken.

It throws really smoothly with no whip. I strung it while I was watching "The Aviator" today. I completely forgot to put the other leathers in, but I am pleased with the result.

Oh... and for those of you who need clarification on Trogdor the Burninator...

That looks very nice. Very clean, well thought out. It looks like it goes well on the razor, too. You should call it the Aviator. That would be fitting, and it sounds good.

thats pretty cool. I like it. But one question why did you only do one coil?

Gj. Kinda reminds of the torpedo pocket but with less leathers. i like it.

I only used the one coil to support the pocket and give it structure where I like the sweet spot to be.

I like the random saddle you threw in just for kicks... It works though. Nice job.

Thanks for the feedback! I used sidewall stringing for the center channel and white crosslace for the sides. BTW. Homestar Runner is the best!

That's a great suggestion. Henceforth, this is the Aviator pocket! Take that DiCaprio.

It became such a fad at my school. It was really kind of sad. Nothing against Homestar, but when you have 20-30 eighth graders wearing trogdor and strongbad shirts and saying: "Nice Jorb" it gets really annoying.

nice job!, that twist and the coil look like they create a perfect channel.

That's pretty nice, but it looks like it doesn't have much hold.

That is the most minimalistic legal pocket I have ever seen (notice I said legal, so that doesn't count that dumb two leathers and a shooter pocket someone made). It looks crazy awesome.

looks pretty good. nothing crazily original, but could work really well. did you pinch that razer? it looks great if you did. if you didn't, thats some lucky warping patterns.

I did pinch my Razer. But only by pinching the top sides of the sidewalls to decreased the flaired walls and draw them in closer. The channel is perfect, but as noted there is not a great deal of hold, but more tha enough for me. The coils really do help to provide support for the ball when cradling which was just an idea that luckily worked. I have done several "full" pockets such as the whole range of Stylin Strings pockets and the great tutorials on e-Lacrosse. This time was just me getting annoyed at a Wide Ride and then restringing in this manner. Glad it was so well-received though.

The pinch on that razer is really really nice. Looks like a good pocket to but once you test it more, i would like to see how it preforms.

After I play with it more I will post its specs. So far it throws great, but that's just throwing around and against a wall.

Looks cool. Why didn't you connect the side to all the sections of the twists in the middle, like this?

I actually did, initially, but I didn't like how it looked. What happened was that when it was strung that way the bottom links became far too loose for my liking. When I tightened them up, they made the bottom of the pocket cinch up on me. That's why I skipped one link and made it to the bottom. Thanks for the comments though.

After throwing with this pocket and playing in a pick up game with it, I found that it really does a great job. I let some other guys throw with it too and they all liked it and commented on how smooth a release it gives. So yes. I think I will be keeping this on my Razor for sometime.

First off, welcome to TLF. My pocket is more of a pita variation that turned into something else. On my Aviator pocket, its stayed really flexible and that is even after playing through some light rain and then being left in my car's hot trunk for a couple of days before having a breather again the other day. I think what might be wrong with your pita is that when you initially strung it, you may have pulled too tight and not allowed the strings any natural give. Just go back and loosen them up a bit. For the absolute best advice on how to string a Pita pocket, plus a tutorial with pictures, check out Kryptic's guide on:
