i'm from Texas (howdy ya'll...jk) and the only time i get to see any good lacrosse games is during the finals every season... i wanted to try and figure out a way to petition the networks to try and get them to get lacrosse some more air time... is this feasable(sp.?) or am i pissing in the wind?

It's probably a lost cause. We don't get ANY MLL games on tv at any point in the year (that I've been able to find anyway) so I've never seen a game. We do get generally one NLL game a week. (This week they aren't showing any until the All Stars game.) I agree though - the sport definitely needs more tv time!!

Step to the side because the spray is gonna get you wet. It's not a mainstream sport, yet, so there is very little tv coverage. It sucks, but there's nothing anyone can do for now.

anybody have enough money to buy a national TV channel?

ask every sporting goods store & lax store to help sponsor it.

then you can watch all the lax you want... but i dont think that will happen soon...:concerned

The Score in Canada shows some NLL games. Here's the schedule that's up so far:

Feb 22 - 7pm (All Star Game)
Feb 28 - 7:30pm (Toronto at Philly)
Mar 5 - 7:30pm (Toronto at Buffalo)

Get direct tv and watch the NLL game of the week 4 or 5 times thoughout the week. Also there is a section on CSTVs website that lets you petition your local cable channel. heres the link.

the MLL shows a game every week on ESPN2 during the summer, the ACC tourney semis and final is on every year on Fox Sports South (i dont know which Fox Sports you are) and CSTV has games once in a while... find a friend with DirecTV and watch the ones on CSTV. Other than that... go to some college club games... some of these games are actually pretty good, esp if Colorado or BYU ever comes to town. and best of all, these games are FREE! i usually get my season's worth of lax at these college club games.

Go to the college lax forum and look at the list of TV times.

actually ppl should try to sign that petition neways. itll help the others who want to see more lax, and plus itll only help when the companies see the amount of ppl that r watching the games

yeah like i said earlier... get enough sponsors and start your own lax channel... or your could petition. atleast it lets my future competition know what yall want to watch.

even though we arent getting a lot of air time, at least we're starting to see it other places. not too long ago i saw mini sticks at target, i saw a stick in a commercial, and now theres one in that movie '50 first dates'. drew berrymore uses it to hit adam sandler across the head. its not much, but just a few years ago we wouldnt have seen any of this.
