I think hes a little shocked since kevlar is "that bulletproof invincible stuff".
Sorry to break it to you: Kevlar was a failed gimmick...Real kevlar vests are made of many layers/sheets of kevlar, while the kpro kevlar is like 1 layer of it-not strong enough to do anything, and adds considerable weight in the progress.

well i just thought that they were tougher than most, i only had mine for a little less than a month.

each individual fiber in kevlar needs room to absorb impact. When it's placed against metal, it doen't do much. I have a kevlar because I like the feel and weight doesn't really bother me, but kevlar doesn't do much for strength when you look at how much weight it adds.
