I scored more on defense then a lot of attackmen on are team did. First game freshman year I hit the crossbar and coach told me to keep shooting. I finished freshman year with 5 or 6 goals and over 10 assists. Nothing beats scoring to me. Nicest goal I ever had might be with a minute left in the game I took off down field broke like 6 guys shot and it hit the crossbar and went in. We lost the game but thats cuz of how bad are team is atleast I scored right.

not when I play teams around here just swarm to the d man when he crosses the half the last thing ne1 wants to see is a defenseman score on them. That is why i have such an easy time getting assists every defender comes right to me and i can pass to any one for an open shot but most of are attackers arent great at finishing.

I got 15 goals on D, I know that is a lot because most of the attackmen only got 10 or less goals. Our goalie has 25 goals, hes a big boy.

i wish i was a long stick attack... seriously i started scoring this summer at camp... goalies dont quite no wut 2 make of it when a long pole moves in... mayb they expect you to make a pass at the last second but they always leave me with a ton of open net... usually ill move in as close to the crease as possible, throw a fake right at them and then use the pole to reach around n just toss it in.. works every time and its so cheap

ive been told its easier to score w/ a long pole thought because its harder for the golie to see the ball leave the stick. Also a long pole on our varstiy scored twice in one game.

i had about 15 goals this season...1 of those was with a short-pole, and the others (along with a lot of assists) were with me playing LSM

chslax is so right, if youre a goalie and used to seeing shots come from around 6 ft. high, when you see them coming from about 10-11 ft. high, it changes things
