Is the Edge a good head? I like the proton, which is also a wider head, but i wanted to hear what other defenders thought about it. The reviews that i have read have been good.

Stiff and slightly pinched compared to proton, its personal preference but it should make a great LSM head, like the triton, vapor, blade, razor, and all the other light pinched stiff heads.

no do not lsiten to this man...ill give you nice heads, relativly pinched, and light...that would rock at d and lsm
Cyber, pinch maybe a tad, light
Revo, not to heavy and stiff
revo pro, same as above but better
x2, def stiff and not to heavy
edge, ancient but awesome for any position
proton, same as above
vapor, light, and relativly sturdy, great for any postion
triton, scoops like a shovel, and light
razor, flared sidewalls make it wider, but pinched, and idk but they seem kinda heavy
thats my list, def not a blade, and alot is preference, but some heads should just be a no no
torque
blade

WHAT? WHY THAT AND NOT A BLADE? ITS ALL ABOUT PREFERENCE! HOW CAN YOU LIST EVERY OTHER ALL AROUND HEAD AND THEN DISCARD THE BLADE, NOTHING SETS IT A APART. ONE OF OUR TOP D POLE WHO GOES LSM ALL THE TIME USES A BLADE AND HE STARTED OUT WITH A SAVAGE. YOU ARE AN IDIOT. AND CYBER ARE A FACT A VERY VERY VERY RARELY USED HEAD FOR ANY D OR LSM, I DOUBTLESS THAN 1% OF US USE THEM. AND I DO LIKE HOW IT IS ALSO AN ATTACKMEN SPECIFIC HEAD WHILE THE BLADE IS NOT. IF YOUR GOING TO OFFER AN OPINION DO SO BUT DONT TRY TO DISCREDIT MINE. MORON.

ok dont start off by calling me names you just make yourself look like a dinkus...the blade and its flared sidewalls are to pinched for a pole, and tis also very fragile, blade snap as much as a bomb goes off in a iraq, alot...so a blade is def not a good choice, and please refrain from the name calling

Right and you dont make yourself look like a dinkus by going into threads and saying "DONT LISTEN TO THIS GUY! I WILL GIVE YOU THE LIST!!" when you could have said heres my opinion. And the razor doesnt have a pinched flared sidewall? Isnt prone to snapping at the sidewall? So i'm not name calling but you just been proved wrong. Im not saying blade is a definite lsm d head but only an option to consider so no need for you to flip and go around going "DONT LISTEN TO THIS GUY HE WILL EAT YOUR BABIES!!"

Cyclone, I would say a Cyber and how flexible they get would be a nightmare for LSM, but anyway, Pilot, quit typing in caps and dont flame. I don't mean to backseat mod or be a goody-too-shoes, but I'm just telling you, it's really really stupid of you to flame someone on here, just a heads up you will probably get banned. I don't see why you would get so worked up because Cyclone's opinions don't match yours 100% That's just childish. Also, just so you know Razers do have a flared sidewall. Back on topic, edges are a classic d head. They are stiff and wide, all around good d heads. Protons are pretty good, too. I personally would recommend an X2 over both, but that's just my opinion.

I was upset because he started off with "Do not listen to this guy", I took that an insult. He decided to disrepect me when he could have simply stated that his opinion differed. And I flammed him because I wanted to, I've been on the forum for a while I know the works. I typed in caps because I wanted to.

the blade is terrible for LSM, its scoop is the worst ive seen and it is one of the most flexible heads around and becuase your lsm uses a blade doesnt mean its a good head. same goes for the cyber, but i support cyclones list

Hey another asian, your asian number five. Well I didn't say it was a good head I said it was an option, as the things I listed were just heads to consider not the ONE AND ONLY LIST OF LSM HEADS!!" as I have never used the head. So dont take it out of context.

Well, heres some of my reccomendations:
i suggest:
profile (stiff and in my opinion, not TOO pinched, but still pinched)
x2 (A classic, nice and wide)
edge (same as X2)
revo (stiff, durable and not too pinched)
razer (pretty stiff, has a pinch comparable to profile but w/flared sidewalls)
triton (stiff, might be a tad too pinched for a pole but it's your stick)
proton (same as X2 and Edge)
bionic (fairly pinched and stiff, great if you can handle the extra 2 ounces of bone crushing weight)
savage (stiff and not very pinched)
intrepid (pretty stiff and kinda wide, cheap too)
i don't suggest:
revo pro (just too pinched for a longpole, i've seen many people struggle to catch with these)
evo pro (same as revo pro)
blade (not too stiff)
note: these are just my personal reccomendations and mine alone, head choice is personal preference.
edit: i just realized that he didn't even ask for a list of heads, but there's no way im erasing my work.

I would think unpinched head being too wide for LSM so they will definitely need control and more offensive capable head. Probably c405 or lighter shaft too so heads like Bionic would be top heavy along with the wizard and X2 would lack enough ball control.

Yes but I'd figure you'd need some pinchness for LSM.

ok, not to backseat mod, but pilot, you've managed to upset 2 people so far in this thread. relax and quit being a pain in the 'you know what'.
back on topic...i'm a goalie so i'm not going to post my opinion (which happens to be infallible but that's besides the point). instead, i'm going to list the heads that all of the lsms i've ever played with have used.

pinched proton
cyber
pinched edge

most i've played with use hard mesh when its wet and tradish every other time. the reason you want a stiff, pinched head as opposed to a stiff, unpinched head is because an unpinched head will not give you the control an lsm needs to maneuver in tight spaces and throw necessary fakes and face/split dodges. usually (no offense to anybody), but close defensemen need the unpinched heads because they are generally not as good throwing and catching as lsms are.
again, this is just what guys i've played with use and tell me.
Well its not my fault that people like disrespect other people's opinions.

The edge is a nice head for d/lsm. It is very stiff and is wide. It has a nice scoop and is very durable. Control aspects come mostly to pocket.
*Note* He is not asking for a list of heads, he is asking specifically about the edge.

thank you... yes the edge is very nice. you may want to pinch it a bit though. not alot but some for a little more control.

Not to backseat mod, but I HATE it when pointless arguments are carried out on people's threads who are just trying to get an opinion. Use PM's for that sort of thing, leave only pertinent comments on someone else's thead. If you have an issue, use PM's and/ or email the mods, if it gets out of hand. That said, the Revo is an excellent choice for D and LSM; easy enough to catch with, but also has some pinch. I have a slightly pinched Revo for D, and its beastly.

i play lsm and i use the brine motive, it pretty much has everything you could want for this posision. the brine motive is a very durable, its stiff and can hold up to almost anything you bring to it. the best thing i like about this head that it has the inverted sidewall thingys(what ever you would like to call it), this makes cathcing reallllll easy with a long pole and ball control it good. ive had one for a season now and its still in good condition, though mine is getting warped; i would recommend this head for practiclly any position, especialy d and lsm....this head is also fairly priced, doesnt cost a 120 bucks like these new stupid heads

i would definetly go with the X2. you could pinch it a little if you think you would still be able to catch.
