i have a broken Savage and i want to give it to a friend to use when we play back yard games in the neighborhood. It is broken right in the middle of the scoop...what can i do to it to fix it. Will duck tape be OKAY? just for backyard games with no hitting...?

dude Duct tape is the answer to every problem. Since its a backyard game and stuff like that anything goes. Hell you could even put the head on a broomstick. anyway duct tape will do just fine

yeah, or you could bake the head back together...though it will be weaker, it should be more than able to do back-yard passing.

maybe get some sort of glue (super or model, not sure what works best for the kind of plastic sticks are made out of) and glue it, and then after the glue dries wrap ducT tape around it to secure it and keep it from moving, so the glue won't give. The glue is supposed to bond and fuse the two peices of plastic together, but it depends on the type of plastic and also the joint will be much weaker then a new head (obviously).

baking the head together will not work you'd have to melt the head first and you don't wanna do that cause if you do what are you gonna push the head together with casue you can't use your hands unless you want big burns just glue it then put duct tape baking it will definatly not work

no, tie it off very tight, but put a brace between the sides to keep it from just super-pinching. ive done it before to a girls stick, works wonders if you just want a backyard stick.

kinda hard to explain in type... but thats generally how you do it.

well there you go, think you can decide which method to use.

personally for the best easy method, us epoxy than ductape over it.

old trick i have used. drill 2 very small holes on either side of the break. take some thin wire and run it through the holes a few times and tie it off. wrap duct tape around the crack and your good to go, at least for a goof off stick.

if its broken right in the middle of the scoop, then just duct taping it will screw it up because the stick well bend every time it hits the scoop. Take a paper clip, and put it over the crack on scoop, placing it horizontally. then take another paper clip, and put it behind the crack, on the back side of the scoop. THEN duct tape. the paper clip reinforces the plastic.

shouldn't be a big deal just tape it and it should hold together pretty well with the top string tied tight.
