Alright I have to write a poem about Fall (the season) in my creative writing class. There aren't any guidelines about scheme or length, so I can make it anyway I want, but it has to be school appropriate.
I'm having extreme writer's block so I figure the good people of TLF, being the creative poets that you are, could help me out!
Suggestions, questions, poem ideas, etc. are all appreciated.

Leaves are falling,
Tempertaures are chilling,
I look out my window and see a woman falling (lol just for laughs)
Yeallow, reds, oragnes galor,
leaves are no more,
and im out.

gotta include a lot about the color of the leaves (its easy to write about color), a chill in the air, and how winter is on the way. i would also suggest something about first frost.

thats awesome but i think "summers outta sight" would probably be better for a poem
Leaves fall faster than domino toys
More colors change than 8th grade boys
Weather getting colder, crisper than a bill
Cold when I wake up, got frost on the sill (window)
6:15AM, the time when I wake up
My day, is what the school takes up
Cold outside but its warm in my house
Girls wearing tank-tops switch into blouse
Summer was fun, until it wasnt here
Its falls time now, at least winter is near.

edit: i hate when you start typing something, and then click post, and theres 8 replies instead of one in the thread. im like craaaap wrong thread.

I don't know what kind of job you have Hooligan but you might want to consider a career in publishing poetry.

i love summer no school and my b-day plus pool party and tons of chill time plus on lacrose theres summer camp so ya i love summer not so much autum i dont like the cold or the lack of lawns to mow(my main sorce of income).

Haha...im not very talented when it comes to writing poetry...but well here goes
On a crisp fall morning.
Im up at dawn
What happened to summer?
Where has it gone?
The leaves are changing
The lawns now brown
And a cold chill covers my town
Winters coming
Knocking on my door
Soon i'll be stuck inside
What a bore...
No lacrosse to tempt me
Out into the sun
Falls now here
And summer is Done
