I live in Portland, Oregon, and I'm getting a C405, and I'm trying to find out from players which head they prefer. I'm a new player, so I need all the advice and tips available. I'd probably be looking for a good head for beginers.
I have a budget of course, and since I'm buying me C405, I can only afford the not so expensive heads. Can anyone give me some player reviews on these heads?.

Go for the Icon it is a good begginer stick, and it is real cheap.

I'll be playing Midi.
My friend says he really prefers the Icon. It's sturdy and it's an all around good beginer's head. I'll try it out when I go to the store.

Thanks, that helps. Of course I'll beat the **** out of it over time. I just need a beginers head to get me through my first season and to help me start out.
Any more tips or reviews on these heads?

the intrepid is very pinched. if your a middie and you face off it will warp to all hell. i liked mine until it was so warped i couldnt pass with it. if your a wing man, id suggest the intrepid over the others. i have an old one (not warped to hell) died blue and purple if your interested in one.

the intrepid is very pinched......
Are you kidding me????
It is pretty flimsy and I could see it self pinching with F/Os, but it's actually pretty wide off the shelf.

The savage is a great cheap head. It is moderatly stiff, has a pretty good scoop, and isn't very heavy. You'll be getting a lot more than you pay for.

My first stick was (and is ) a revo on a C405 sensicore. Its been extremely reliable, (no dents, just scratches) and the revo has been great ( I just pinched it, and its beastly.) The Revo is cheap, reliable, strong, and admired by all ( or at least most). To get heads cheaper eBay is the place to go, and laxshopper.com isa good place for other laxer opinions. Good luck.
