hey i was wondering what the attendence is looking like so far for the season, or if possible, the averages for each team. i was watching that last anaheim game on fox sports, and they were looking slim on attendence. granted they dont exactly have a good record going, but still. i figured id ask about it. its good to hear if the attendence is in fact going up

I haven't seen any recent attendence figures, but as far as I know the league as a whole is doing much better than last season. The last figures I saw showed that the league was averaging 9000 per game, which is up from 8000 last year.
Anaheim is one of the cities that all NLL fans cringed over, even before they were official. We hated the possibility that an NLL team could be in suck a fickle market as Los Angeles/Orange County. The fact that they've even attracted fans at all is beyond all my expectations. I was picturing a completely empty barn (such as in Albany) where only a few hundred fans made the effort to show.
So far, 9 of 10 teams are doing pretty good. Out of the big 4 (Rochester, Buffalo, Philly and Toronto) only 1 is impressive (Colorado) in attendance. If the NLL is to grow, they need to find more markets like those 5 teams, and less like Anaheim.
Hope that gives you some insight 8-ball.:agree

I've heard that averages for the Ravens are about 10,000 per game. After Friday night's pitiful performance I'd be surprised if they're that high next game!! (It was pretty bad...)

Sometimes I'm glad the attendance is going up but sometimes I like it low! It's kinda fun with a small crowd. More... intimate or something...

well i can see wat u mean with the low thing, but then again, the sport wouldnt get anywhere if they just had the low attendence. the more the marrier is the prime choice.

Can't be selfish. One day, if the NLL catches on, we will all have to give up our intimate little league, and one day it will be like the NBA, NHL, NFL, or MLB, where star athletes make huge amounts of money, and gain even bigger egos.
But for now, lets enjoy the league....we can always bring up how it strayed from its grass-roots later.:agree

i no, especially with the strike coming up. people dont like the amount of boringness it provides, and plus, on tv, u cant see the fricking puck
