I just wanted to mention that, although much of what you hear regarding the convention is geared for coaches and players, there will be a number of events geared for officials, including a Collegiate Officials Committee meeting, a Scholastic (high school) Officials Committee meeting, an NFHS rules meeting, and four other sessions designed for officials.
As more and more officials attend the convention, we can expect the number of officials' clinics to increase in future years.
If you're looking for more information, see:

Register soon, since the convention fee goes up on 11/15.

When will the clinic schedule be released? I'm looking for the exact times that each officiating clinic is going to be scheduled.

I have already registered. I've been coaching for 13 years for the same High School. This upcoming season I will be officiating also. However this will be my 1st convention I will be attending. I'm primarily going for coaching but should I also attend some officiating meetings also.
Any input would be greatly appreciated.

It hasn't been announced yet; they're still working on it. I think the NFHS rules meeting is supposed to be Saturday afternoon, and they're doing their best to make sure the officials sessions don't conflict with each other. I'll post when I find out the schedule.

i hope its better then last time, no demonstrations, not able to buy stuff, bad food, mediocre facilities, i hope that all gets changed,
it just seemed more for coaches
I would think by Dec. 1 it will all be posted. Dave Seidman working on it now. I have heard a clinician's training event Friday morning may be scheduled. NCAA/COC linic usually 9-12 am sat. NFHS rules presentartion usually 1pm Sat. I will be doing something on clock/time management sat. aft. Three other speakers (at least)sat. later or early sunday.

I believe the clinicians training will be Thursday night and Friday morning. And I believe this pretty strongly, because I booked my flight and hotel to be there for it.

While I was one lobbying very hard for a clinician's session at the convention, and I'm glad to see they're doing something, it would be VERY helpful if they could put some kind of agenda out before now, so that out-of-towners with jobs could make proper reservations. As it is right now, I'm flying in around noon on Friday, so if they have clinicians' sessions on Thursday or Friday morning I'm SOL. Disappointing.

Have to agree with laxfan25. I haven't been able to commit yet because of real job conflicts. But if I can make it, it would be nice to know ASAP what the actual schedule will be so flights could be booked without missing any good stuff.

I agree it would be nice to have the schedule published further in advance; that's something we can strive for in future years. However, I think making the clinicians' training session Thursday night and Friday morning makes a lot of sense, since if they had it later it would conflict with other officials sessions and people would complain about that.

When we get a little closer to the convention, we'll have to pick a time to all meet.
