I saw this in PC mag. I think its pretty cool. What are all your opinions? http://www.pcmag.com/article2/0,1759,1880078,00.asp

the link doesnt work for me

same new link. I pretty much know that hydrogen will be the futre in fuel since its non polluting and cheaper than gas and infininite. Shell already has a process to make it

Just get rid of the t at the end.

Oh yea fuel cell hydrogen will fail and combustion hydrogen will prevail. emission is still water but it has twice the power of gas there for needing half as much plus hyrdogen is much more efficent even less 150 to the gallon is again very close. awesome hey?

Can you at least give us your opinion besides "its pretty cool".

Honestly. Is it really that hard to make a half decent original post?

I think it is a great idea, I'm amazed at how someone would come up with this. It seems extremely efficient, but how much would a gallon of Hydrogen cost? 150 miles per gallon though, is pretty amazing. For big cities where no one will be going more than 30 miles an hour, and it is mostly stop and go traffic I think it is perfect. Maybe if they were to make a model that could go faster this Hydrogen fuel could make a huge impact.

hydrogen is around 20 a gallon NOW since well nobody needs it and its nore really made when its the main fuel cheaper than gasoline right now. And bmw made a hydrogen car that went 220 mph. and they will be producing hyrogen gasoline hybrids very soon. Daily Planet guys

And IT WILL make a huge impact id say in about 25 or years soon if gas goes up to 1 50 a litre again god that was alot

Well, the main process used to obtain hydrogen burns fossil fuels, so we need to find a good way to "harvest" hydrogen.

ahh valid point but nuclear power, hyrdo-electric and other alternate will soon be our sources of power anywho

As soon as I saw the photo, I exited out.

Seems like alternative fuel is making a move. Now all they have to do is make that car look less homosexual.

How bout the bmw mobile hydrogen power 200 mph+

lol in brazil they use achohol as their fuel. They made special cars that run on some sort of it and lots of people use it there.

"its pretty cool"

yea 1.50 soo much lol i hope thats canadian dollars, n wats the conversion at now? but in europe its 4$ a gallon on avrg......i vote for hyrdo

yea 1.50 a litre not a gallon i wish it was 1.50 a gallon thatd be amazing

yea so thats about 1.30 ish american a litre i believe

i think he means ether, not alcohol, there are small chemica differnces, but its make a huge difference in the exaust

Why cant they just make fart powered cars. But I guess that would create a shortage of beer and beans.

Hybrids will be the way of the immediate future......60 - 80 MPG is a helluva lot better than the 10 or 12 that some stupid SUVs get. Glad to see Toyota, Ford, and few others with Hybrid trucks out now.

Hydrogen or fuel cell cars were a good idea, but are heavier, more expensive, and more complicated.

Hydrogen also costs too damned much to extract due to the electrical energy requirements....If someone was willing to build a nuke station to power the hydrogen plant, that might bring the cost down to a realistic level.

Better yet, figure out a way to commercially harness the energy in the hydrogen fusion reaction. If it can make a mushroom cloud that big, it can certainly move my car around the block!

One of the main problems with fusion is the extreme heat that it produces, hence the whole things about "cold fusion" (anyone see The Saint?)

Yes hyrdrogen has a cost factor but nuclear power will bring that down since hyrdogen is part of it and it creates electricty to to create even more

i say that we all seclude ourselves in our little "Lacrosse Town" where we wouldnt really have any reason to use automobiles

the hydrogen fuel cells will be great because hydrogen atoms are very small compared to the multiple atoms in gasoline and will be able to be stored at a much greater capacity than gasoline.

Anybody see gas prices drop around me gas has dropped from around 3.10 peak and now is at 2.05 per gallon.
