Anyone know how englands team is? Im just wondering becuase my father is british wich means i am eligable for british citizenship, an di heard they are looking for players? Is this true?

They're better than you'd think, and they also have solid club teams, like Gin+Juice, for one...

In the mens lacrosse section there is people who are in contact with the england team.
Just from what I know, it might be worth looking into.

yeah.. they are pretty good.. unfortunately, they have a load of talent, but lack extensive coaching experience... you'll find many of the English nationals will be individually gifted, but not play the best team game..
It would be quite hard to crack the line-up.. the reason they had a tour here in the states with tryouts is to find D1 NCAA level talent with bloodlines that would make them eligible for the team... they need disciplined team oriented players who are extremely sick.. just look at carcatera, he was probably the sickest addition to their talent pool, and helped them make a decent run at it, but they need more players of his calibre...
I've also played with and against some past and present english national players, and let me tell you, they are not slouches.. many of them could easily start at some higher to middle of the road D1 schools...

Gin & Juice are not a club team.....I know as it a team I started.
Juice is made up of players from all over the UK + a few Europeans, Canadians and Americans. We are a summer touring team!

By all accounts the team is close to the final cut with a number of overseas players being considered.
It might be too late but if you're interested the head coach is Dave Elwood and I think his contact details are on the English Lacrosse Association web-site.

The England Squad of 29 (23 + 6 travelling reserves) will be named the first week in Feb '06 after 2 scrimmages vs UK based American LDOs on 22nd and 29th Jan.
