I've heard that it is a great head. The X stuff, IMO, is great.
If you can get it for $70 I reccomend it. There is at least one person on here who has it so whoever it is speak up!

I think the control X and the rubber stuff on the fuse should be illegal. In teh rules it says any alterations to a stick to help performance is illegal...well isnt that what the control X and rubber stuff do? Don't get me wrong the control x is great and all..but by rules it should be illegal

it is not an alteration, it was manufactured that way

when they mean an alteration, they mean like cutting sidewalls, drilling holes for weight, and the like. if anything the closest legal thing to being illegal would be pinching. but think about how many cults would burn down uslacrosse for it.

yes it was manufactured that way but its more than an average stick. Taking a regular edge and then an edge X..they are the same exact model same exact width, etc..but you'd play better with the edge x because of teh finger things

honestly what do the fingers really do, i had a prophecy and i will be getting an edge x for free, but what makes them so good. I was not impressed with the prophecy at all, I ended up selling it for $15

well, it is a NCAA approved stick and is legal. just b/c it has an advantage over other sticks does not mean it is illegal. heck, its just better with new technology. wait a few years and the standard stick will be a hype,x,fuse, liquid crossover.

the fingers are brines answer to STX floating sidewall liquid. the sidewall moves with the ball in a cradle making it harder to knock the ball out during a check.

I have 2 of the Edge X heads. I love them and for some reason they feel different than any of the other heads I've ever owned.

The Control X technology also, from what Brine says, absorbs about 33% of shock.
