So whats everyone else think about TO's indefinte suspension from the Eagles? Personally i think its a big downgrade to the team, but they made the playoffs and went to the NFC championship the past 4 years without him so i don't really think they need him. TO deserved what he got and i think the eagles will probably release him and hill go to some desperate team and sign a one year deal. I think he will spend the rest of his career going from one place to another hes good, but nobody wants to put up with him.

I don't think the eagles can ever gain a sense of "team love" with each other after this. What will probobly happen is that T.O. will be traded to another team for another good wide reciever. I love TO to death but everytime he opens his mouth he depreciates himself towards the team. Being a life long eagles fan, this grately disheartens me but TO really needs to grow up.

By the team, for publicly bad mouthing Donovan Mcnabb, the rest of his team as a whole, and he got into a fight with Hugh Douglas. ESPN said that if the punches TO threw actually landed, Hugh might have been in critical condition.

nobody is worth that effort. the eagles would be best to go after a reciever who can play without being arrogant about it. somebody who actually clicks with the team.

TO is a serious pain. He puts up Jerry Rice-like numbers (over his career), but his atrocious attitude will never allow him to get near Rice's level of legacy (that, and not winning as many Super Bowls). He verbally abused Mariucci, a solid and respectable coach, questioned Jeff Garcia's sexual orientation (when he was one of the best QBs in the NFL, and was dating a model)--we all know what he's done in Philly.
BENCH HIM THE REST OF THE YEAR a la KEYSHAWN JOHNSON. Send a message. Nobody is bigger than the team, and nobody is bigger than the game.
-Ship this idiot to another team, where he can suffer with a below-average QB, because Garcia was great in SF and McNabb is great in Philly. He has NOTHING to complain about, HE SIGNED his freaking contract, and I hope he gets run out of the league. He just ENJOYS being a complete punk.

So is Troy Brown. You might remember him when he had 90 yards in Superbowl XXXVI when he beat the Rams. David Patten, too. Remember his touchdown in Superbowl XXXVI?

Deion Branch. Remember when he was the MVP of Superbowl XXXIX? The game that TO put the Eagles on his shoulders for.

You guys don't understand. Terrell Owens is an amazing reciever, and the Eagles need him to win. Look at McNabbs stats, pre-TO, and with TO, and then tell me that TO does not make him, and the rest of the team better, ON THE FIELD.

Well that's certainly a very racist remark. Look at the number of white receivers in the NFL, and the the number that are #1's. Drew Bennett is the only one I can think of, and this is simply because Derrick Mason was traded.

While I'm white and this doesn't offend me personally, I just find it amusing/ironic when people preface racists statements by saying a) I'm not racist but or b) Not to sound racist but...

Yeah, 22--He (Garcia) was a PRO BOWLER, with STEVE YOUNG #'s when TO was with him, and McNabb has been to the last 5 PRO BOWLS.

With two recievers of Holt and Bruce's quality, surely the Rams could have managed to beat a Patriots team consisting of Antowain Smith, Troy Brown, and David Patten. Oh wait, they couldn't. Thanks for trying though.

There is a difference between talking trash on the field and degrading your team.

Steve Smith talks trash on the field. Two weeks ago against Minnesota, he went up against Fred Smoot, the biggest trash talking corner in the league. What did Smith do?

Only set a franchise record 201 receiving yards on 11 receptions with 2 TDs.

THAT'S how you kick *** and talk smack while keepin the paycheck coming.

TO is just dumb. Talking ish about the team, about the players, complaining on not being congratualted on your 100th TD catch. I hope Jordan drops him too from their lineup. :crazy:

very true, espn set him up to look like he brought it out of nowhere.

Michael Irving said it and they asked TO if he agreed with the statement, and if i was in TO's shoes, i would have said the same thing. We all know McNabb has been hurt and still is(even after a decent game vs. the skins). I believe the team would be much better off if he wasn't.

The team chemistry is good...without Owens, that is
actually when i was typing that i was thinking of marvin harrison. hes one of my favorite players. he can flat out play but ive never heard of him trashing his team or other teams

here are my brothers's thoughts:
here's my thoughts on TO. he's an unbelievable player. one of the
best of all time; regardless of position--he is a future hall of
famer. what's equallly obvious is that he's also the anti-teammate.
at this point, his actions have overshadowed much of his
accomplishments in philadelphia and alienated him from the coaching
staff and his teammates (quite possibly) to the point of no return.
it's tought to say what the team will do with him. it's very
difficult to trade him because his contract is big already (i think
it's 49 million) and he's not going to be happy until it's much much
bigger. what that means is that regardless of who he's playing for,
he's going to act like an ......... unless he has a contract that's
paying him top money among all receivers in the league.

i want him to shut up and play. i don't care about anything else
other than his performance on the field. heck, i don't care if he
dresses up like a woman in his spare time. i dont' care if he's the
most hated player in the league, the locker room, in the universe. i
just want him to play. it's a tragedy man. it's a tragedy because
his mouth has become bigger than his game. and there's nothing cool
or good about that. but if i know anything about football, i know
that we need him. people everywhere are saying that we don't need
him. that's bullpoop. we're playing bad enough already. without
him, we can't win, and we'll sure as hell not make it to the
superbowl. without him, we'll be lucky to make the playoffs. he's a
poophead, but i don't care. we'll see what happens.

Because of this, he's never going to get the big, long term deals he's been wanting. He'll be playing next season but I bet the team that picks him up will give him 2 years max, just to see how his attitude is.

I think TOs agent is somehow trying to "mold" his immage to make him marketable as a "bad boy"... he may be trying to get into acting or some other obscure profession after football.. this might just be a way for him to market himself.. by acting out..

Read the whole interview, it's not grounds for suspension. And, Hugh Douglas is not even on the Eagles; he's not a teammate.

TO is an amazing football player. After seeing his apology I feel bad.
THIS IS TO EVERYONE WHO HATES TO NOW:
I completley blame all of what has happened to TO on his agent, Drew Rosenhaus. Drew Rosenhaus has been known for causing contract conflicts.
Think before TO asked for more money on his contract, he was still arrogant but he wasn't like he is now. Just before TO asked for more money on his contract he dropped his former agent and signed with Drew Rosenhaus. Drew Rosenhaus is the best agent in the NFL for 1 reason, his players are payed THE MOST. Anyone remember why jerry Mcquire was a real jerk about money and everything? That was just after he had consulted Drew Rosenhaus. Drew Rosenhaus is the one that told TO to assert himself and to not stand down from what he wanted. I'M POSITIVE TO would have shut up if he had had his former agent.
