Really? Only hs stuff on right now? Hmm...

Well, at the hs I went to, if you didn't make a team, you were allowed to "volunteer" with the team. So although you couldn't play in games and stuff, you could volunteer to help out at practices or whatever. So things like running drills with the players, etc. I know it's kinda lame but you still get to be around lax and can practice, and maybe learn some new things from working with the coach.

Also, saying you assisted a coach on a hs team looks good on a resume if you're applying to college or university.

yes, i believe we have had 3-4 threads on this exact topic from you fat mike, and each time we say the same thing. here is what i said last time.

if you are not on the team, there is an easy way to get on it. Become their servant, go to the practice and tell the coach that you would like to help in anyways possible because you love the sport and am willing to do chores in the chance that you may learn some more. you will end up chasing balls and so forth at the beginning, but sooner or later he will let you feed balls into drills. if you choose to do this, life will klinda suck for awhile but will show the coach true commitment, not only that, but you will have learned a huge amount just from watching and will most defiently make the team.

My high school is a club team... today was the first practice and 40 people showed up... I guess thats good for San Diego, but i dunno.
A lot of people pay to be in the sport then stop like midway through the season because its too hard... haha
Oh well... free money for our team :D

ok here is the whole picture we have a varsity team that is one of the elite teams here in colorado so its really hard to make then we have a jv team where they put all of the juniors that arent good enough to play and the great sophmores then we have a freshman team. so the sophmores kinda get screwed

man thats a pretty cruddy system. My coach groups us not in skill but team work. If we have a great attacker but then we have a sophomore thats not that great overall but plays amazingly with the better guy..hed make varsity... "a player that makes a team great is more valuable than a great player"

just talk to the coach. be the teams biatch. get the balls they lose. throw them feeds on the drills and run witht them. become the manager. you'll get to know all the players and the coach will know that your dedicated

We have no tryouts or JV team, only one varsity team, which sorta sucks. We had like 60 people at the first practice, but now we have like 30 on the team. The rest quit because they're pussies.

we have one team for the girls...and barely have that. we have 17 girls.

our guys have 3 teams, Varsity which is mainly seniors and juniors but any lax prodigies of freshman and sohpmore classes are there too. JV team which is the terrible seniors and juniors, mainly sophmores but there are freshman here. then a freshman team..and well, its ALL freshman. i think we have around 80 guys in lax here.
