so im a pretty skinny guy and ive got this armguards that are great length, but my arms are too small :( so they tend to slide down a bit during practice, any ideas on how i could keep them up and secure? i'll start working out again, but until then?

Um...glue them to your arm. just joking. Are the arm guards as tight as the possibly can. And if they are you can tape it tight if they are soft arms guards. And what kind of arm guards are they?

if theyre hard armguards put sweatbands on ur arms then the guards, then secure as tightly as possible. they should stay. a kid on my team does this

Tighten them with hockey tape.

Hockey players do this with shin pads, some box player do it with the hard plastic armour.

Bonus - after the game, you can prove what a man you are by ripping off the tape in one go, and not flinching!

I knew one kid that duct taped his pads into place! :chuckle:

But be sure you use the clear, surgical like tape, not the hockey stick tape...

Yup, good clarification.

Best stuff happens to be made by the Renfrew Hockey Tape Co., so I often just call it hockey tape.

tape, also the sweatbands idea would work. u might alos want t try, taking the top velcros strap thing, and tightening it more then it shold be, then tape it down, this way u dont have to use tape everytime u put them on or off.

well what i did was tighten the velcro bands farther than supposed to, then put layers of tape wrapped aroudn the whole thing, its lasted for like 2-3 months already and its fine. also, i can still slip my arm in

you could wrap the velcro around twice

I used to wear cut up socks on my arms underneath my Vent-X APs because they were a little big.

ive got supercrosses, so theres only a certain point to where i can tighten them, and practice is starting to become nearly every day, so i would have to go through a lot of duct tape. sweatbands/cutup socks? working out, but i cant get my arms big enough to fit the guards by next practice :nahya:

Don't use duct tape, use clear hockey tape. You can get 8 rolls of the stuff for 5 bucks and that will last you a long time...

Yeah, Captain Cool was the guy. Trust me, when he smacked another player with those duct taped arms, the duct tape added a little, how you say, je ne c'est quoi? :naughty:

Dont use any of that. The easiest way is to shorten the straps that are too long. You do this by pinching the strap somewhere in the middle. you do that by applying lots of hot glue and then pinching with your fingers. This = shorter straps = arm pads that fit.

Edit; if you know someone that sews, you can also have them sew the pinch in place.
