I myself am looking for a box league, however, you will probably have better luck in the box forum. I am sure there is a league in Maryland, lacrosse is more popular down there. Check in that forum

Philly box is nice, but its not a real box league. Sure, they play on a boxla sized field, and they play with boxla rules, but thats about where the box lacrosse stops.

Trust me, Philly box is about as close as box gets in this area, but its still field lax in a hockey rink.

start your own league, start witgh master rules then graduate to minor rules then go to jr rules then yopu'll end up playing with major rules. all you need is a copy of the rule books and an old ice rink. and if you realy want an old school feel play on concrete not turff.

Box rules have 5 runners and a goalie per team. So, thats six total players per side, twelve at a time on the field (10 runners - 5 per team, 2 goalies - 1 per team).

There is a good box league at du burns arena in Baltimore. Not full contact, but very competitive. Talent level is high enough that there is a limit on the number of pro players per team. Hope that helps.

This is the Baltimore Indoor Lacrosse League (BILL) which I have been looking into myself. Some of the teams are semi-pro like DeWalt, so mostly I've been looking to find a lower tier team in need of a player newer to the box rules, though google hasn't helped that much yet, though since it's the leagues off season I have time on my hands.

Thanks Wheel. I'm also looking into contacting the Baltimore Lax club as they run a team in the BILL and are looking for players with collegiate experience, but like I said, it's off season for the BILL right now so I have time to find many options.

When I lived in MD, I played in a league that's in Manassas, VA...it's not really box rules--close but no cigar, although there are a few guys who do (or at least did in the past) play on OLA or NLL teams...most of the guys in the league play field in local club or college teams--personally, it didn't matter much to me as a keeper 'cause a shot is a shot to me! Anyhow, it might be a good opportunity to transition for ya. Hope this helps -- http://www.sports-network.com/
As for other stuff in MD, the BILL is probably your only other chance for a boxla game--there might also be something out at in the Dulles Apt. area in VA...and beware of the "outdoor lacrosse played indoor" junk like they have in Rockville! Definitely NOT box...6x6 goals, long poles, and all in a box-size field...WTF?
