I play in a middle school (8th) grade lacrosse league and I was wondering if a wooden lacrosse shaft was legal for play in mens. thanks

It may depend on local rules. However, AFAIK there is no reason why you shouldn't be able to. Ask your coach to be sure.

There is nothing in either rule book that would disallow wooden shafts.
I would check with the coach of your team and the league president for any rules that are "outside" the rule book.
