Hey i just wanted to know if anyone knows how much of the all american selection is statistical, and how much is other stuff. And furhter more what is that other stuff. I have seen many people score alot more points than the all americans that were chosen that year.

not sure if this will fully help u, but on uslacrosse they hav the girl's hs all american nomination process...i hav looked at the boys on the website and it is fairly similar but for some reason i could not find the boys hs all american nomination process, u can check again tho otherwise here's the site... http://www.uslacrosse.org/womens_div/hsaa_selectionprocess.phtml

a lot has to do with the team you play for, and who your team plays against

yeah that's somewhat tru...but if u really do stand-out to other team's coaches, they hav a say if they thnk u should b nominated even if ur team is not the best or doesn't play the best...a lot comes down to skill and leadership

politics play a big role, at least where i'm from. i've also heard that what you do in the summer can be a factor (what recruiting camps you go to, what schools are looking at you, etc.)
