Alright, so I guess I should be getting a stick BEFORE the season starts. I've been to a few sport stores to see if they have sticks there but they only sell complete sets with everything together, not the head, shaft, etc, separate.

Also, it looks like they're all guys' sticks (but I haven't asked). Is the best idea to get them online?

Which stick would you suggest for a total beginner? Any advice, suggestions, etc, would be appreciated. Thanks girls!

anything debeer, I heard nothing but the best about how they design for ladies...... from some team canada girls....... As far as I know, they have the best designs in the tempest and etc, and the best pockets in the trakker....

lol i'd just stick w/ the apex w/ a trakker pocket, yea its from debeer. but its a begineers stick... yet ... you can use it as you get more advanced. its about.. oh geez, i don't even know, about 60-70 bucks? if you wanna go cheaper, get the debeer response, it has a drop sidewall like the tempest, and get it w/ the trakker pocket too, and that runs like at 35 bucks w/out shipping/handling

Ellen has a good idea. Although I would more strongly reccomend the Response with traditional stringing than I would anything else from DeBeer. As for STX I reccomend you look at the Comet. From Warrior I would reccomend the Diva. From Brine I would not reccomend anything. Heh heh. Personally I think you should go with the Comet from STX.

As for now your shaft does not matter. Go ahead and buy a complete stick, I reccomend that option the most. I personally started off with an STX T92 and aluminum shaft, stright from the store. At this point in your carrear it is all that you need.

Thanks girls!! I finally found a lacrosse store here so I'm going to go check it out today and see what they've got. I'll let you know if I buy something!

hey summer, out of curiosity, what do you not like about brine sticks?

I dont like the way Brine designs their newer women's heads. They are soft and bend really easily. Also, their newest heads have a problem with keeping legal pockets, something that can be really annoying right before a game when you need a legal stick.

excatly. try doing a ground ball in 95 degree weather w/ one of thsoe things, and it basically.. melts into the ground. they have a smooth catch, but most of the time, its cuz the pockets illegal.

ahhh.....i'll keep an eye out for that, the only brine stick i've used extensively is the WMX, and that thing is rock solid (as it was designed to be)

and my synergy, i've only used in very cold weather (yeah, fallball was abnomrally cold and rainy/snowy), thans for the heads up
