View Full Version : Imporatance of TRAPS
hey, im starting to work out alot more and doing different excercises.. i mostly work with my forearms, triceps and biceps, becuase i know these are essential for a good shot.. but im also starting to do barbell shrugs to work my traps... are traps important to have if you play attack? what advantage does having strong traps have, if any while playing attack?

What disadvantage does it have to training them and making them stronger?

I didn't mean it that way, i just meant like, should they be a muscle of major focus?

traps can do wonders for u...because they also take stress of your shoulders...while at the same time the make the shot faster and more powerful on the followthrough because traps and you shoulders work as a pair, just as the muscles in your wrist work together you dont rrealize it....so teh more you concentrate on shoulders and on traps the more powerful and teh better coordinated you will be when it comes to shooting
