View Full Version : A Look at STX's Primer
so i got this head on ebay last week and got it today, i had a chance to throw around with it a little today at lifting. i absolutly love it already although i'm sure i'll find something wrong with it while playing more with it. stringing this head was tricky. i'm not new to stringing at all but the stringing holes on the primer are just weird. the pinch on this is very good, almost as good as my pinched razer. well i'm not great at reviews but if you have any questions about it i'll answer them.

I loved this head when I saw it at a D1cks Sporting Good's. The hole size made me a little curious since they seem so much smaller in diameter than your average hole. Can you elaborate on this in comparison to other heads? Maybe post pictures? Thanks.

Yea it's pretty nice, throws a little high right now but i'll get it to where i want with a little break in time.

the holes are smaller. the only difference i had when stringing this is the top string where you loop the string in through the first diamond back into the hole and then to the first scoop hole. i had to skip the loop since it wasn't big enough to fit the string in. it doesn't seem to make that much of a difference but it'd be better if they were bigger.

Looks nice. The forward cant resembles the icon. Like the side of the face offset style is like a icon. The head is a little big for my liking, like my heads nice and small. But the head as a nice pinch.

do you think the stringing holes on here will be similar to the ones on the proton power?
not sure, i haven't had a chance to check out the Proton power yet.

the primer is mega nicethe pinch is perfect and its extremely light

well there is a hole where the ball stop goes but no it doesnt seem weak at all

pinch looks really nice on that. Just from the looks I'm guessing nice pinch, light and stiff? Sidewall reminds me of a liquid minus the stupid breaking sidewalls.

Tony can you take a picture of the face with a ball in it...it would be greatly appreciated.
I got it for 51 and 6 shipping so it came out to 57 all together, and i'll get some more pics and i'll get your measurements farny in a couple days, things are crazy around here this whole week with our turkey day game.

Nice job on the stringing. But this looks like on of those uber pinched heads that would be hard to play with. STX is really starting to take their keyhole pinch a bit too far this year.

how is the size of this head compared to the duece? because it looks almost the same in pictures but people say it to big, and i know the duece is pretty small
