hey guys i consider myself a natural athlete. i play football and indoor soccer so i decided to give lacrosse a shot and i have some questions, all the help i can get is greatly appreciated.
whats a good online store to purchase equipment on?
how do i adjust the pocket to make it deeper?
what shoulder pads do you reccomend for attack or midfield?
what does the term "whip" mean?
What are some good NCAA Division I colleges eastern US?

umass, duke, north carolina, virgina, and syracuse are all really good... there are alot more good ones i just dont remember.. you can adjust the pocket by breaking it in or loosing the bottom strings near the bottom of the head or on the sidewalls if you want, but if you buy a strung stick all you need to do is break it in pretty much. as for shoulder pads its pretty much your preference. i play attack and i have the hitman 5.0 ones from warrior and i like those alot. a good website you could use is lacrossedigest.com or lax.com but i would head to a store first and see what you like before you buy it online

whip refers to how the ball comes out of your head. A smaller amount of whip causes a smoother release. The ball goes closer to the ground or into the ground when you have more whip and the ball comes out and goes higher when you have less whip.

cough HOPKINS cough
As far as websites go, if you like the Warrior brand then you might want to look at Great Atlantic (www.lacrosse.com), overpriced though if you ask me. However the best site I have seen for reasonably priced equipment has already been mentioned, laxshopper.com.

tx all so far
but most importantly how do you adjust the pocket, is it that one string in the bottom, bcz if i only adjust that theres a hole, must i adjust the side strings too. And should i cut the excess string?

Well the sidewalls don't have to be adjusted for pocket depth but they do for palcement.

In your top let, you'll see a search bar. Everything you have asked is somewhere in archives. Goodluck with lacrosse.

I have never known anyone to actually use either liners or Rhinoskin. I would just stick to regular pads MaVeRiCk05. I would maybe move on to the Rhinoskin after you have gotten into the game enough to develop ability and experience to determine whether or not you wish to have minimalistic protection. Good luck!

whip: the amount of downward direction in the balls path coming out of the stick on an overhad shot as a result of contact with the shooting strings. (e-lacrosse definition)

The exo gloves really aren't bad. I almost like my from-eBay Exo gloves more than my G-Force's.

This is lacrosse not some pansy sport. Wed on't use shoulderpad liners, and I haven't met anyone who wears rhinoskin, but it looks ok.
