Is there really a noticable difference in weight between aluminum shafts and titanium shafts? Also are the grippy shafts like the warrior diamond good. does the extra grip help alot? Which would u go with the titan classic or the diamond?

Ok first off, it depends on which ti you have, if it is something like a mohawk of fatboy which are known to be heavy and even the stx ti which is heavy the aluminum will be lighter, but when I had my ti22 it was considerably light, and the levitation is also very light. Second the grip on the diamond does help a tiny bit, no it will not tear up your gloves like some people have said and asked. I do not like the diamond grip personally. Also this is more or less a preference thread.

if you are looking for a grippy shaft try some composite stuff.

eg, harrows, python, hero. to name a few

For me, theres not really a noticable weight, but that depends a lot on how strong you are. For the grippy shaft, save the extra money and buy an ungrippy shaft, and tape it. It accomplishes the same thing without tearing your gloves up.

I dont know if the grippy shafts are worth it but if you can get a good deal on them, then I personally would get them. I was able to pick my diamond off of a forum for 60 a while back

Athletic tape is like $2 a roll, and really helps with grip. There are a few good ones that don't even leave sticky crap on your shaft when they wear off.

With this as an option, there's really no point paying extra big bucks for a special grippy coating.

Put your money into a shaft that's strong enough for your needs, and if you're going to spend extra dollars on the shaft, put it towards getting either a lighter or stronger one. You can get all the grip you want practically for free with tape.

It all depends on a couple of things
1) How much youre willing to spend.
2) What do you want streangth, wheight, or grip.
3) What head you have.

Ive never used a gripp shaft but i heard they arn't good at all the stx titanium is good its super strong and kinda light. But other titanium shafts arn't really as light.

This is all preference. Some like grippy shafts and some hate it. Sharkskin grips have been known to wear the palms of your gloves away. Composite shafts have grip without the disadvantage of sharkskin. Tape is always an alternative. There isn't really any reason to ask what grips are good because it's an opinion thing.

All your questions are very relative. How noticeable weight differences are is dependent on how strong you are and also which aluminum shaft is being compared with which titanium shaft. Second whether or not a grippy shaft is good is sheerly a matter of preference and is also dependent upon which grippy shaft you are talking about specifically.

Titanium sticks are worth it if you're looking for a stick that will last you a bunch of seasons. They are also very expensive so you decide. Grippy shafts like the diamond, swizzle, sharkskin, etc. are not worth it because lots oif times the grip will wear out. But on Harrows I think the grip is awsome cause it doesn't come off and it doesn't kill your palms. But that's just my opinion.

Definately the Titanium shafts, I have an Stx Ti and like it a lot, and the Titan Classic is another sturdy titanium. On the grippy shafts, I also have a Harrow Box, and that thing is nice, I also love the feel or Harrows. Either of those are great shafts, probably some of the better models currently made as well.
