hey guys and gals i was just wondering if it is expensive for you to play high school lacrosse? It costs 120 bucks to play soccer in the fall and close to 300 to play HS lax. i was just wondering if this is normal?

It use to be free at our school, but now we have to play $100 per sport that we play. So, if you play 3 sports, its $300/year. But, changing the price depending on the sport seems unfair. They tell us that the 100 is for transportation, i wonder what your school's justification is.

i just talked to the coach and that is their reason. it seems really stupid that we cant just play for the school but we can use their name and fields but it isnt actually a "high school sport"

i'm pretty sure it's free...we buy our own equipment and they supply uniforms...we do have to do a fundraiser tho like sell wrapping paper, but there's no minimum or max u have to spend, some ppl don't even sell it (even tho they r supposed to). The only thing we pay for which is optional is indoor lax/captain practices b4 season, but not every1 does that either so yeah i guess u might say it's free

we pay 100 to play in upper arlington, we can buy some boathouse jackets for 80, so custom glooves for 100, and we get a free cpx which is 140

That's like my school. They do give us jerseys and decals for our helmet though. The coach goes out and pays for balls himself. We already have goals and the school provides busses and our coach drives for transportation.

At our school we have to pay about 200, but most kids are able to cut it down with fundraising.

that stinks we don't have to pay zip. So you guys have to pay to play because the school isn't Supporting the program? wow that sucks no wonder it is not as popular as other sports you have to pay more than the cost of equipment just to play.

220 just to play
180 for equipment and apparel we get.
All in all its kind of a ripoff. On top of that much of the fees go to paying for field time and without a doubt we play on the worst field in our division.

It only cost us $100 this year. Thats with custom CPX's... Custom Jereys with names on them, and matching shorts... Jackets, Shirts, Polo shirt, and Bags. Also that covers transportation, practice feild for the year, balls and all that jazz.

But we have a fund raiser every year that pulls in $10,000+ and we are planning a second one for early next spring to hopefully help cover the jerseys... jsut cuz it would make life easier.

I pay 150 bucks for lax at my school, same with soccer and basketball

we buy our own equipment like shoulder pads and AWSOME personalized for the school gloves and arm pads but the school provides pretty much everything else including freaking awsome helmets

we get to borrow 2 jerseys and a kilt. costs uhm 200? or more..something like that. but its winter park..nothing else would be expected.
