What's up cats
I realize tactical discussions are not exactly the same as "How to check someone into oblivion" or "The phattest goal I ever scored" but hopefully together we can all learn some things and still talk about the awesomeness that is larosse :-) So post anything mildly defensive-related, especially pertaining to the defense as a whole and let's have a good time.

I noticed a lot of poles don't do the trick i used when i played pole (very rarely)...


if you stick 'em at the gloves and cut his running path down with the pole (whichever side it may be) is that not better???

i would usually just try to cut him off and check him after he'd made his move, if he cuts back the other way, it's the shoulder he'd get.... and would he ever...

I did a little piece on D at LN...
Like the title says...keep it simple...
Once you master the technical part...then you can learn the sick checks...
I still think the best piece of advice I ever got was when you know an iso is gonna happen watch your man's jock...he can fake everything (shoulder/head/stick)...but wherever his pelvis is pointed...that is the way he is going...

i agree with stegmakk, you cant dodge with your jock, watch that and you'll know exactly where he's going
