You are an attackman and your facing away from the goal (so basically you can see your own goalie from this position) in front of the crease but over to the left (right if your facing the goal) and you catch the feed in your right hand with the stick to your inside. Would you flip your stick over and take the shot while not facing the goal or turn completely around and shoot it with your left?
I hope that was clear, I'll elaborate if it doesn't make much sense.

What i do is turn around and shoot with my right hand aiming for the far left bottom corner. Maybe throw in a quick fake to confuse the goalie.

Well i meant this in a settled situation with a big d-pole right there so i don't think I would have the time.

Then i would do a roll, split or face dodge around him and shoot a fast bounce shot into the corner. Maybe I would do a split dodge and switch to my left hand and shoot.

It depends on the defenders position, both ways could be correct, but...
You switch hands. Partly because of the angle it creates. From the crease a lefty/righty will have different angles. If you can roll & switch you'll be better off and it will be fairly quick.
I'd strongly suggest a quick stick in the first place, but I'm assuming the d-pole is overplaying that side so a quick roll is just used to change hands and protect your stick. It should move you past the goalie, finish high or low a fake is probably un-necessary you'll probably have 2x6 feet of goal to shoot.

as soon as you catch, do a sorta jump shot, but dont decide where to aim it until you turn and can see the goalie(this is hard, but doesnt give the goalie any time to react), however id suggest just jumping and aiming bottom left(if the goalies righty, stickside low)

I think in this situation you would be better off wtarting with the stick in your left hand then making a short cut in a U shape around the goal then take a shot , possibly overhand, with your left
if you have a tape of the national championshipgame Duke scores twice on man up on identical plays to zach greer who makes this exact cut

How close to the crease are you?
If you're right on it, I can think of a couple "trick" shots that aren't a bad idea.
If you're more than a few feet away from the crease, I guess you want to beat the d-man and set up for a lefthand shot anyway you can.

you can either catch and do a turn and jump shot, or you can switch hands and rip a shot around your defender.. make your follow through "hit" your defender on his hip.

you sould be moving twards the ball so keep moving twards the pass and do a turn around jump shot
