I dont know how many of you are Islanders fans but how many of you thougt the goal on Tuesday night was a goal. I got so frustrated when they called it off. Tell me about your experiances with blown calls in any sport.

i havent really seen many but in hockey it happens all the time.... for example... on saturday night the canadians got called for tripping at the 20:00 mark... just before overtime when it wasnt really a trip... i thought that ws a bad call

A hurricanes game a few weeks ago...would have given Eric Staal a hat trick at home. Him and cole were on a 2 on 1 with an empty net, Cole gets tripped, but they call it diving on Cole. At the same time he's tripped, Staal scores a hat trick. They disallow the goal because of the penalty on Cole.

I saw the replay on that one....borderline, but could easily have been called a dive. I've seen Cole dive a few other times and so have the refs that did that game.....a bad reputation doesn't help you on close calls!

Anyway, My worst one was a non-call on Wayne Gretzky for dirty stickwork late in Game 6 of the 1992-1993 Campbell Conference finals. If that call is made, the Leafs win the series 4-2 and go to the cup finals against Montreal.

It's not made, the Kings go on to tie and then win Game 6 (OT?) and then win Game 7 as well. Montreal then stomps all over LA in the cup final (the Leafs really beat the tar out of them over the series...there was nothing left to give).

Since the Leafs lost, the highlight of that series for me was the Wendel Clark vs. Marty McSorely brawl.......you just don't see them like that anymore! (They traded bombs for several minutes, fight ends in a draw. Afterward, both combattants shake hands and !hug! before heading to the box)

He dove directly at Antropov, and clipped him with a shoulder to the ankles.

Call it a whatever you want, but it was worth 2 minutes for tripping !
