hes not allowed for many different reasons.
1. he has a criminal record and anyone with a criminal record is not allowed to enter canada.
2.at his last concert in toronto 1-3 guys got shoot.
3. the recent uprisings in violence in toronto(a shooting at a shooting victims funeral)
4. his music is some what offensive, althogh not as offensive as other artists.
and as far as "YOU" owning us overnight that is highly unlikely as we have an extensive knowledge of how to defend ourselfs(need i bring up 1812? where you invaded our country for a whole 3 days.).
the situation in toronto is not as bad as in france but it is dangerous in the west end and almost every where in T.O. where gangs can be found.
and finaly thaty have granted fiffty entry to canada, what will happen we can only wait and see.

my dad ran into 50 cent and his posse for a buisness trip in europe and i'm pretty sure he went to canada and saw nelly there at a club so idk why they wouldn't let 50 cent there, whats the big deal...hav tighter security is what i thnk should b done, i saw him in concert over the summer with the anger management tour and no1 was shot or killed at the concert...but i don't care it doesn't affect me

if you dont care then dont post. and there have been more shootings in the recent months then all of last year, the gang wars are just startin up and already like 60+ people have been killed and a funeral service shoot up and one person who was grieving for his best friend who was also a shooting victim. now trhey have meteal detectors at all church entrances in toronto. and not every concert ends in a shooting, and nelly isnt a hardcore gangster like 50 and other rappers. and since 1812 circumstances havent changed that much we still have guns and people killing people, and i forgot to mention the BURNING of the NOTSOWHITE HOUSE. the only difference is now we have gangs and more guns and more young people having acess to illegal substances and weapons.

50 cent should be casterated and forced to bleed to death for what he has done to our culture... actually not done.. what he has contributed (his contributions are 100% negative)

H'okay there.
Then by that regard we should do the same to Aerosmith for collaborating with Run-D.M.C. giving rise to Fred Durst and Ozzy Osbourne for his disgusting displays of animal creulty (real or not).
The hypocrisy of some of the people here astonishes me (actually no it doesn't but whatever).

Thats retarted! We could own Canada over night! Let him do as he pleases! You dont mess then the more powerful nation in the world! hehe. Why exactly is he not allowed there?
Because he's been convicted of violent crimes. Canada bars lots of G's for that stuff (Flava Flav for one). It's not censorship, it's keeping a felon criminal out of my country, so I can't say I object much. Anyhow, what the hell do you care where 50's allowed to go?
This only made the news because some jackas$ Member of Parliamnent wanted to keep 50 out.
Reasons:
1) Lately, residents of our Jamaican neighbourhoods have been shooting each other too frequently,
2) and there was a shooting right after 50's last Toronto concert.
3) 50's lyrics glorify gun violence.
So, this (boob of an) MP (foolishly) thinks that barring 50 will make a difference (it won't).
It's over. Immigration ignored this MP and issued a Visa. 50's allowed in for his tour. It's done, 50's coming, let's end the thread.

Why is it that 4 people actually posted "I voted I don't care because I don't care?". If you don't care don't post.
Anyway. 50 not coming to Canada isn't a huge loss, he proboly would've only had like 4 concerts. Blaming him for gang violence is as stupid as those guys in Washington trying to get rid of Grand Theft Auto for all the violence it created in youth.
BTW I hate Curtis Jackson AKA 50 "Fiddy" Cent and if he doesn't have a concert near me I wouldn't lose any sleep.

Whatever, he has enough money he could pay off the Canadians and just get in, then make twice as much as he paid out of the thousands of Canadians that are drooling to see him for $20+ each for tickets.

I think he should. I mean, hes like one of the biggest Rappers in the world, if he cant get in leaglly, then he will get in illeaglly. But then he would be sent to prision, then to pay the bail to get out. But i think that he should just premote what ever hes doing.

I hope he goes...and the mounties capture him and accidentally run over him with their horses and kill him...
I am not against rap...I listen to rap...I just think 50 is a waste of oxygen...
and if Toronto or the rest of Canada does not want him in their country that is their right...

Like I said, earlier, there has been an unprecedented rash of shootings in Toronto's most colourful neighbourhoods this year. (A lot of it is Jamaican G's shooting rival Jamaican G's).
With that nonsense going on, I am going to make sure I and everyone I love is at least 5 miles away from 50's concert. The gangster stuff doesn't affect me, but these guys are a really low class of criminal who don't seem to care if they shoot bystanders.

I voted Who cares. While I couldn't care less for 50, his music or his message, I don't see any big deal in letting him have a concert in Canada. It is unfortunate, however, that the genre draws wannabe gansta's who think they can act out music videos with real violence and guns.

i voted who cares, its not that big a deal to me. and i dont really pay that much attention in history class but werent we in full control of quebec city or some other large city in canada, altho i think this was prior to the war of 1812, maybe civil war? and then we let you have it back for some reason or another in one of those peace treaties. to the canadians, dont take offence to this, im just stating things as i remember, im not anti-canada or anything.

Please do not tell me you are attributing one concert to the uprising in gangs? One concert will not do that, no matter if the concert did happen to have 3 people killed. Stuff happens, it just so happened to take place at a 50 cent concert. If you look in a any major city there are bound to be a lot of gangs, it's just the way it works. But you can't blame one guy for a whole city's faults.
Persoanally, I don't live in Canada (although I am pretty close), so I don't care too much. I really don't like him as an artist, but I am used to letting people listen to what they want to listen. If he causes mass chaos, then yes, he should not be there. But if the audience is there, and he doesn't cause too much ruckus (can you really blame him for the people that shot each other?), I see no problem in it. His music definitely has some things a lot of people disagree to, but it's their choice to act upon what they here or not, not the artist.
at no point did i blame his concert i simply stated that at his last concert people got killed, and you can probably trace the gang uprising back to that date since that started the gang wars. and if you heard your role model rapping about guns and violence you would be effected in one way or another.
its not just the jamicans its the srylankins(they have been fighting eachother for what seems what ages) as well, but you do have a point the jamican neighbour hood does seem to be the epicentre of the violence.

Maybe thats the problem?

This is ridiculous - first of all, it's impossible that Canada doesn't let anyone with a criminal record into their country. IMPOSSIBLE. I know some who people have gotten in completely legally and have criminal records. Secondly, if the US even suggested proposing something like this, the entire world would be complaining. No. Not going to happen. Rock on, Fiddy.

If you have a criminal record, particularly for a violent crime, you CAN be barred from entering.
That's not to say that customs DO stop all criminals.
Fiddy had to get himself a special visa to enter.
Got it?

i think this is bull****, Im from canada, i hate rap and im sick of this special star treatment. hes a criminal. Hes a raper (not rapper) and should not have any special privliges because hes "popular" or "a good rapper" i say keep him the hell out of our country

Ok you guys could probally overrun us in one night, Im not gonna argue something i myself believe is true. But what the hell does that have anything to do with 50 cent coming up to canada, like we need anymore violence here? Last week on the news i found out that 4 out of 5 of the most violent cities he was visiting. Like those cities need anymore shootings, muggings or beatings. I say we keep him out of our country and cancell the concerts. Not only because hes a convicted felon but because he is also promoting violence in cities that dont need anymore. So i voted "no" and i would support the goverment if they told him to shove it and send him back to the u.s.
Anyway im probally gonna catch alot of **** for that
