Also check out Ari Hest. He's an up and coming acoustic guitar player, much like Jason Mraz and John Mayer. He's on the radio every once in a while up here in NY and Ive heard his stuff randomly on the radio throughout the Northeast. He's also friends with my brothers roommate (grew up in the same hometown), so I got to be backstage at one of his concerts. He's also been on MTV a lot recently so I think he's gonna be big soon.

Alot of Bob Dylan songs are extremly good and almost all acoustic. The lyrics are genius, poetic and have a deep meaning. Its folk music though, some dont like it but I love his music. His earlier music is pretty much him by himself playing guitar and harmonica, nothing else, but later on he has an actual band play with him.

Iron and Wine has an acoustic version of this song, that's probably what you are thinking of. Its pretty freaking good.

yes, Iron and wine has the acoustic version of such great heights, but I think the original is still much better.
Meant to live by switchfoot is good. I will follow you into the dark, like blckout said, is a great song too.
Not a big fan of brand new. They sound like every other quasi-band out there.

It needs to be cool, but sortof stupid. It has to be accoustic, but sorta not. It must be really hard but easy but not easy and hard cause it has to have sound but not very soundish

Good quality post right here. Are you failing English ? As you know you must take one side of an arguement, and right here you are taking both sides of it which means you are contradicitng yourself, which is a no no. I will have to agree with whoever said Donovan, his still is really upbeat and fun to play.
