I'm using Noia 2.0 extreme right now. It's not my favorite, but until a 1.5 compatible Qute theme comes out, i'm using it.

I can't download any themes on my home machine?????
It keeps telling me that Software Installation is disabled and to click on the Edit Options button (in the error bar) to enable it. So I click the options button, but nowhere in the Options can I find anything that enables/disables software downloads.
Any ideas, experts?
Nevermind - found the answer 4 pages into a google search. There is an option to allow/disallow web sites to download software. The option still exists, but the ability to change via the Firefox Options was taken away in 1.5 (but the previous setting retained). You have to use about:config and toggle the value xpinstall.config back to true.

You need to download the .jar then drag/drop the file into your themes window :)

Thanks enjoi, but I found another way - see my original post. A little frustrating "bug" in a GUI change. The error message they give in incorrect since you can no longer edit the "enable download" via Options in 1.5
Where can you report bugs?

Wow - my first Firefox bug report. You'd think I'd get tired of it since software verification is what I do for living. lol.

Can u post a link on where you found that, I keep getting the same thing and I have no clue what to do. Any help would be appreciated.
It says "...Could not be installed because of an error in its install manifest "({name of theme and a long series of numbers goes in here} " is not a valid GUID). Please contact the author of this item about the problem

I didn't keep track of where I found it. Yours doesn't sound like the same problem. For my particular problem, I did this:
in the URL bar, type: about:config and hit enter
scroll down through the page or filter until you hit the entry called xpinstall.enabled
check to see if it's value is true or false
if it is false, right click on it and select toggle
it's new value should be true
Your problem sounds more like an issue with the theme you are trying to install, not a Firefox config issue.
Sorry I can't be of more help.
