Avatar won't fit

I've been trying so hard to get this image as my avatar. I keep trying to save it so it's small enough, but it always says its to big. Can anyone tell me how to resize it to fit?

I tried it on mine. First it said it was too big. So then I went and opened my paint program. I then saved your pic and opened it with the paint program. I saved it and uploaded the picture. It worked then. Try it that way.

Try saving it off of here and see if it works...
