K Killer C, here is what happened:
New York Saints owner Mike Gongas was forced to sell his teams in both NY and Columbus, and was banned for life from the NLL. An investor was found for the Columbus Landsharks, and they were moved to Arizona, and became the Sting. The Saints were unable to locate and secure an investor in time, and were forced to cease operations for this season.
The rumor mill has several investors interested in the Saints, who would continue playing at the Nassau Colessium, where they've been for over 14 seasons. Though, there is some probability (but not likely) one of the rumored investors, the New Jersey Nets franchise, would like to move them to their proposed stadium location of Brooklyn.
We'll see...but the Saints WILL be back in 2005.

They gotta stay in Nassau...they'll do even worse if they go to Brooklyn (as far as attendance)..
Only good thing outta the deal...NO more Gongas...he was a disgrace...

Steg is completely right.
If they can't play out of Manhattan (If only they could get time at a reasonable price at MSG), then Nassau is a better place to be than Brooklyn.

Gongas was the owner...he treated the players like crap as far as paying them, etc...
not to mention just the way he ran the team...he led to their demise as a team...
