Is any one doing AAU lax in NE? I was going to but I thought $800+ was a bit much. Then i talked to my friend and he said it was like $1300.

Shiftylax has an extremely high position at AAU Lacrosse. He can tell you everything you need.

That is the price for a season? Jeez, it is like $150 at the most here.

I doubt there's any club teams or leagues of the same calibre as AAU Lacrosse in Idaho.

Includes year round professional level conditioning, all tournaments, all games practices unforms and national exposure.

The other programs make you pay as you go so in reality they cost this much or more.
Good Value if you factor all that in the conditioning program alone worth it for most plauers.

Mt 2 cents...

Seems steep. From my experience with a top club team, pay as you go is a better deal.

AAU is picking the best of the best (there will be plenty of cuts). Only the few best from regions will be selected. AAU is devoted to creating a high level of competition, so it's a possibility that they'd combine regional teams over having weak competition.

Also, there is a "JV" AAU High School region, for younger HS players, so those JV kids probably won't make varsity.

I think this is better than NESLL, or it better be, considering it costs 1300....

www.aaulaxne.com

It's technically partnered with MaxLax, but AAU has been its own self-standing program for years.

Tryouts are way over buddy. All select teams have tryouts in the fall or early winter, not right before the season

not worth it and overpriced. i went once and level on play is not good. heard some coachs never played lax before. heard from one buddy said he called a college he wanted to go to. when he told the coach he was going to play for aau, teh coach said they are looking for higher level players than that. u decide.

The NESLL high school team (U-19) is a sick team. They are all sophmores as of right now and allready have two kids verbally comitted to top schools (UVA and Maryland). They are all prep school kids from Massachusetts, like Phillips Andover, Phillips Exeter, Middlesex, GDA, Westminster, Moses Brown, Milton, Deefield. So the U-19 NESLL is clearly better than AAU.

I wouldn't say clearly better, I mean have you even seen AAU play? I'm not knocking on NESLL, I'm on it, but from what I've seen NESLL doesn't have much depth, just above average players.

what kids committed to maryland and virginia.. im pretty sure that isnt true considering the two oldest kids on the team havent even played their juniors seasons yet

Complete load of crap. This AAU's first season-nobody can judge on it yet. In fact, out of anything they would judge the league highly since AAU basketball/football/hockey are world famous.

I can't reveal the names, but AAU has an EXTREMELY talented coaching staff. I can say this: A few REAL DI-DIII coaches, and one coach who is..."awfully close" to the Cannons organization.

first, I only talked about my experience with aau. more importnaly, I went thru the posts again and cannot believe how you degrade and put down people on this forum. obviously the high school you play at must be the best and I guess you are the stud on the team. I guess you play for aau or maybe someone is paying you somehow to support as yuo really take this things peronally. enough said on this stupid @$$ subject.

I agree with you that in the first season of play nobody can judge the caliber - but then why would someone spend that much money to find out?

You must mean to say you played in NESLL in the past season. The goalies for the team referenced are NB from Middlesex school and DB from BC High. I don't think you are they.

Actually - While one cannot technically committ to a DI school that early - there are serious conversations going on between Virginia and one player (a junior) and the Maryland situation is not as firm.

I asked my lacrosse coach about it and he said it wasn't the thing for me to do. He told my dad about this other league he said he could get me a tryout for because he knows the coach. I was looking up research on it because i was going to do it and some peoples blogs said the coaches have never played lacrosse before. I don't know whats true or not. Just what i read.

Kindly disregard any of my previous posts, I was fairly uninformed at the time, and had some incorrect assumptions. (Mainly in that my experience with NESLL was the normal experience.)
