Best h/s player in CT?

who is the best High school player in CT? Im reading birds eye sports... mike rondon led the state in points but i havent seen his name for get recruited into any college. And for the player that got recruited too virginia i didnt see his name anywhere on birds eye for stats? Whos the best player in the state

Sean Fox is pretty ill. I saw him play once and he is just a dominant player.

Rondon wasn't even that amazing. Don't get me wrong, he was a real good player and found ways to put the ball in the goal that were impressive but definately not the best player in the state. Northwest doesn't play that difficult of a schedule and that was why he was able to lead the state in points. If he played teams like Darien, New Canaan, and Greenwich, he wouldn't have had nearly as many points. I can't really say who the best player in the state is because I haven't played with all of these kids but my vote for last year would be Kevin Connelly, I'm sure there are better players but playing against him I was impressed, of course Simsbury has a better team than NWC but he was just a really good player.

I saw Rondon once, he was very good, but his stats were misleading because he is not the best player in the state.

Last year, I would say maybe Kyle Hollingsworth (Darien) or the longstick Slaughter (Wilton).

This year, definatley either Tommy Lee (Hand), or Peter Mcnichols (Mcmahon).

Rondon isn't bad but i wasn't too impressed marking him. Coach had me lock down on him and after trying a few isos and not completing, they just worked the ball around without him. He had 2 when my coach shifted me off of him and tried zoning it up because we were getting pounded.

Maybe he was having an 'off day', but he definitely didn't make me look stupid as the best player in the state should do

Rondon isn't really an iso guy, he's more of a finisher. That's proabably why he lacks a good amount of assists.

Mcnichols is going to Virginia? Didn't know that. He should do pretty well there.

Isn't Ryan Nizolek going to UVA too? Chris Madalon is going to UNC. There are a couple of kids going to Notre Dame -Barnes and I can't think of the other one's name. The Wilson bros are both going to UMass. Ashra is going to Princeton. Dang- I wish I could play at some sweet D1 school.

Umm i dont know names, but i know teams and players.

A few to mention:
There was a middie from Darien, All-American Junior
There was a middie LINE from McMahon, all very very skilled, easily all conference/state
There was also a long pole from either McMahon or Darien, best ive ever seen in person
Finally i heard there was a middie from New Canaan or Greenwich, i forget, but i heard he was also an all American.

I know this is kind of a useless post, but Im from CT and i felt obligated to post :-P

That longpole name from Mcmahon is Rotante I think.

Pollack from glastonbury is also very good, he was at the SuperJuniors game.

IMO I still think the best player would have to be Mcnichols, and if not Nizolek or Madalon.

the goalie from from darien is pretty good but he jumps too much on low shots and if you just cover him on clears it messes him up and ruins their clears

Cooper McDonell is one of the best players in Ct and in New England and one of the top in the Country as reviewed in Inside Lacrosse's recruiting issue. His grades arent stellar so he could not get into a top DI school, but ability wise, he can go anywhere he wants. Nikhil Ashra from greenwich is alot better than Madalon at Darien. Darien had a awesome Defense that allowed only 10 shots a game. Greenwich's D sucked which would account for the 30 shots a game that Ashra saw.
