Customs usually get a lot of whip. One thing you can do is gradually tighten your shooters from the bottom up. But photos would help.

Yeah gigo's right but also when you string them do you make is so the leathers are loose as you string them. This leads to a bag pocket, where after you string it the pocket is the same at all points on the head(no shooters)

when i strung my first pita pocket it had tons of whip. i relized that i dint string the crosslace tight enough and thats why it wasnt throwing right. i restrung my pita pocket with out the ball in it (the way kriptic does it) and strung it flat like a traditional. after that i did the ball and nife trick and it came out verry nice!

yea for a pita your have to make sure everything is tight otherwise it will lead to whip and the way the homegrown is strung usually it will always have whip inless you string it to have like 8 boxes i hope you know what i mean by that and you'll need like 4 shooters string from the top tight and lower gradually i think that should help

Go to http://lacrosseforums.com/showthread.php?t=31996&highlight=kryptic+pita for Kryptic's pita pocket tutorial. Also, when you put in your shooters, leave the ball with the butterknife in and tie the lower shooters tight, and the top shooter slightly tighter.

No then the tightest shooter would be on the bottom

From the top of the 3rd page in my tutorial there:

That whip could be caused by an uneven balance between the inner nylon and the shooting strings. Basically, you might have the nylon too loose and have the shooters too tight..

To fix this, you should make the inner nylons alot like the shooter, where it gradually tightens as you get to the top.

The homegrown tut from e-lacrosse always has whip. You have to do the SS one with eight boxes I think.

i mean that you would want the shooter string at the very tip of the head to be the tightest

My pita was too whippy, so I added an extra shooter up top and it fixed my problem.
