alright so im a sophmore in high school and ive been giving it some hard consideration and ive decided im going to stop playing baseball and try out for the lacrosse team this year. i already decided i want to play defense. Im 5'9 165 lbs and i figured that would be a good spot for me. im just kind of worried about not making the team because i havent played before. so what can you guys recommend for me to do to help me get ready for the upcoming season?

Thank you for joining the sport of lacrosse. A sport that is not filled with steroid shooting jerks. Well, here's my advice. Play...

Attack if you got real fast hands and feet. And if you want all the goals.

Middie if you can run up and down the feild (As a defenseman myself, i hate middies who don't backcheck) And if you want to be called the best player on the team

Defense if you want to do the brute work and take your 160 lbs or whatever you are and use it all. You also need to be fast shuffling back and forth. You're not gonna get the credit, but people quietly know that the only reason you guys won was because you contained the other team's best attackmen all game.

Goalie if you're insane and want to people to know it

That's my advice

Way to convert man

ok ill be one of the first to point out in the top left corer of your screen is a search bar. I suggest you type in Defense, Attack, or middie and it will come up with threads realated to your topic. This is also a way to help you narrow down your selection

Best of luck

play defense you crazy fool, you know that we have no good kids that play defense on our lacrosse team. your odds of making the team are huge because you can check. cant say the same about catching and passing. just find a wall somewhere and throw the ball against it to work on that.
