It's hard to see what they look like since they are all black. But from the pic the remind me of the sabre's. The shoes just look like regular b-ball shoes. And what kind of head is that kid using?

No, you don't see that. They only have gloves out, what on earth tells you that they could buy the dominant company in the lax industry. That was a stupid comment and it was also really stupid of you to say that freaks and macs are dumb gloves, considering they are some of the best.

Can ahve some of what your smoking? Rbk's hockey line was INCREDIBLE and most of it was designed by KoHo or Jofa. Their forward gloves are so flexy and protective and the Goalie line kicked anus. I just hope the lax line is half as good

Yup, Reebok bought CCM, who already owned KoHo and Jofa.
They've already got gloves, pads and helmets in-house.
For lacrosse sticks, I'm looking to see whether they'll buy a smaller outfit (STX, Harrow,) figure that would cost less than developing the manufacturing process from scratch.

It's not at all that I don't think they could, it's that it wouldn't be a good move for them to buy into the biggest company of a sport where they are barely known. It would be a lot of money to dump into something that they aren't even well established in.

OK, but seriously, even if Warrior is worth twice or more what STX or Harrow is, it would still be chump change to one of the real big boys (Adidas/Reebok or Nike).
You're right though that I don't think Warrior will be the one bought out. If I had to guess, I would say Harrow, STX, or Brine is the best candidate. By next season, Reebok would be able to produce pretty well any equipment except sticks. Box goal equipment is being handled by a partnership with MaxLax
Harrow and STX are small time companies that could easily and cheaply become the Reebox laX stick division. However, If I were calling shots Reebok, I'd be looking seriously at Brine just because of the ownership of the important and valuable patent for offset heads (If Nike chooses to enter the laX market later, they would then have to pay a royalty to Reebok for damn near every stick they sell!).

12-12-2005, 03:47 PM
the gloves were made in the STX factory, they feel alot like the Gladiators only tighter over the top of the hand, they have a full leather palm. so far they only come in a 13 and 13.5 inch gloves.
the shoes are the NFL turf shoe called the Swag, but they also offer the NFL Swag Thorpe to all the teams. they were designed for nfl turf.
And that kid is wearing the the Swag Thorpes, in the sample shoes. Each team will get their team colors for the season.

reebok is producing goalie equiptment too. I've seen a goalie outfitted in rbk head to toe... leg pads, pants, upper body stuff. So they aren't just into gloves right now. I think they are almost 100% supplier to the nll, the players will be wearing the rbk buckets I believe as well.

the rbk goalie stuff is really made by MaxLax, I believe.
factory strung, where did you find this out? the gloves look really similar to their hockey model to me (in fact, I can't tell the difference from afar)
Harrow makes a lot more than lacrosse gear, so I don't think reebok would buy them out. They already have hockey and other stuff.
Brine and STX are easily the biggest two candidates. STX is solely owned by a private owner, so I'd say it's more likely to be bought out. In general, they also seem like a smaller company. AND, if factory strung is right, then it's quite odd that reebok would be using stx's factory to produce their gloves.

that looks like that was when the told the public the name of the team, and that was b4 rbk had an agreement, BUT here is what i think/know, some of the partners with the anaheim storm, now with the JAX had an agreement with the storm to do there shirts/jackets/warm ups, so they probably hooked up with them for the new team...but thats just a theory...so the JAX would have been in alot of nike stuff this year if rbk didnt come in the picture...
SGBorough
01-26-2006, 11:18 AM
It will be hard for rbk to buy warrior seeing as warrior is a brand owned by newbalance. all the gear they have made so far is a pattern they have gotten from other companies. rbk gloves stx, goalie gear maxlax. rbk is supposed to have slash guards, shoulder pads and even sticks comming out within the next few years. will be very interesting to see how this works out for them. RBK already has moved in on NHL CFL and a number of other sports. However nike is now running lacrosse camps and still controls a large number of sports at a college level. next few years will be very interesting.

does STX or Brine have to sell out? No. Also, on the comment about Harrow, Brine also is involved in field hockey and soccer. Brine is a leading equipment manufacturer in soccer. They sent us the wrong colors though ( portland lumber jax gloves) instead of the calgary rough necks like we orderd. All I can say is amazing RBK definitly has done they're research. These gloves were disgusting comfortable. It was like the movement of a macdaddy with the comfort of not wearing a glove at all with the harrows but with a good open cuff like original ignators. When the new gloves come in i'll snap pics for you guys but wow they are amazing!!!

Can ahve some of what your smoking? Rbk's hockey line was INCREDIBLE and most of it was designed by KoHo or Jofa. Their forward gloves are so flexy and protective and the Goalie line kicked anus. I just hope the lax line is half as good
i def agree their hockey line up was pretty good not to mention extremely popular thanks to sidney crosby but i dont much care for their gloves they've got all the nll players wearing
