i am getting a matrix soon so i have been thinking of new ideas for dying because i like creating new stuff. I dont know if this is new but i was going to dye it blue and faded blue.
So i am going to put glue on it then dye it blue.
then i would take of the glue and dye it blue again so where the glue was it would be lighter.
My question is, how long should i leave it in the second time so there is a distinct difference in the shades?

You could do that or just use two different shades of blue. Royal, and then night blue. Thats your best bet. And when you say glue you mean hot glue I hope. Make sure you coat it in glue. Like not designs just randomly just everywhere. The randomer the cooler.

Just dip it longer the first time than you do the second. That should do it.

Leave the first one in a long time so you get a deep, strong color. The second one not nearly as long, just long enough to look cool.

Leave the darker part in for a while, and take the glue off and just put it back in for about 5 minutes.
