Top 205 is a recommendation by your coach, so is Future Stars 160 for rising Juniors, not sure about Blue Chip but I think it's invite

blue chip is run by jake reed. only the top 30 players in the entire country at each position make it. u gotta be pretty sick or already be committed. very political. one of our defenseman got invited to it. if u go there ur basically gaurenteed going division one. don't get it mixed up with blue chip 225. jake reeds the money one

peak 200 is the best bet if your trying to go to a smaller new england school, my friend played on a team that went there. Try to join a travelling team, theyll handle all of that for you

I did champ camp and stx shootout last year and im doing those again with top 205 this year. STX was sick but you cant just sign up and have them put you on a mix team. Its alot of school teams like landon, gilman, haverford,Boys Latin, upper arlington, ex. but then you have tournament teams like the LI sting, LI express, maryland fireballs, ex.. If you can get there youll have a ton of coachs watching your games. Champ Camp was alright but it wasnt as good as STX. But from what i hear top 205 and peak 200 are the top recruiting camps in the country by far, but there still not better then STX Blue Chip (the Jake Reed one).

Is 205 broken into specific ages like STX Blue Chip? I know STX Blue Chip has one wk for rising jrs and one for rising seniors. Is 205 open to all ages incl rising sophs?

There are no age groups. If you are good enough, you should be able to get an invite. But if you are not good and go there, you cna get lost in the shuffle.
There are two sessions, 300 players per camp.

what about camps for a specific college

Yeah. I would suggest going to a specific college's camp that is in your top 5 list. It's great for exposure and most of the time there are other college coaches there also. It's definitley the way to go if you are a junior or sophmore.

Im from Canada and I've also been looking for recruitment camps in the states to go to during the summer. But i was also wondering if there are any players here who are on tournament teams that have had players from out of the country or that would be interested in doing so, as I am aware that it is easier to be recruited through tourney's than camps.

This summer I'm going to Princeton's and Brown's camps, and also a camp that Harvard, Yale, and Amherst recruit at.

There are two types of recruiting camps (Personal & Team) there are a ton of good personal camps but pick ones that are at colleges you are interested in. As far as team camps go it would depend on the area you are in but for the Baltimore area the best recruiting camp is hand down the STX Shootout at UMBC. Highest concentration of collegiate coaches. Other camps like Champ Camp have gotten to big and because games are all over the place and not at one location you chances of being seen are greatly reduced.
Our Team NoVa West which is currently recruiting players for our summer schedule will be participating in the STX Shootout and Hot Beds which are arguably the two best!

Yea other then blue chip, STX shootout has by far the best recruiting i have seen all summer and i play a tournament nearly everyweekend or everyother weekend during the summer. At STX there are 2 locations and two fields at both locations. Youll have like 15 to 20 coachs easily watching your games. But it also depends on what time you play at, we had a game at 10:30 at night last year and there were only like 2 or 3 coachs there.
